So, is it Iowa City/Coralville or Johnson County that will determine whether fans will be allowed?

you know whats weird? there seemed to be a lot of people in the stands last weekend, nicely spread out

it will be interesting to see what happens and how many tickets to the general public will be made available

Im curious to see what local health authorities decide. I read where Purdue is planning on 50%. Nebraska would allow 100% if it were up to them probably.

Nebraska is allowing 2,700 for baseball. Haymarket Park has about 4,500 seats and can fit another 4,000 on the berms.

@mr12182 ,

Iowa has four home series remaining, beginning April 9-11 against Minnesota. The Hawkeyes will also host Maryland and Northwestern (April 23-26), Penn State (May 7-9) and Illinois (May 14-16) this season.

Following the sale to season ticket holders, if any tickets remain, they will be made available to the general public, beginning Friday, April 2 at 9 a.m.

Call 1-800-IA-HAWKS or go to HawkeyeSports.com

Fans are encouraged to buy their tickets in advance.

There will be no game day sales at the gate.

Fans will be directed to the website and tickets will be delivered electronically (if available).

Is it possible to take my grandson to a Hawkeye baseball game? I would think there would be plenty of room to spread out and be safe. TIA

Do you have a smart phone? All tickets will be mobile.

There will be no game day sales at the gate.

There is a supposedly because children under five don’t need tickets, so no clue how they keep track of that.

Again, you are incorrect. EVERYONE, including those 5 and under, must have a ticket.

from the story:

Single game tickets are $7 adults and $3 for youth (age 6-18), and 5-and-under are free.

Seating in Duane Banks Field will be all general admission, and everyone must have a ticket, including free admissions.

All tickets will be mobile and capacity will be just over 1,100.

You should read the story, which is here:

I was just speaking from past experience.

I was just speaking from past experience.

Well, I am speaking based on the present. The article spells everything out. And if you had read it, you would not have stated incorrectly that (1) children under five don’t need tickets and that (2) you have no clue how the UI knows when 1,100 tickets have been issued for a game.

Yup I was wrong, I apologize for assuming.
