Maryland is going to lose to OSU and probably later on their schedule. They are a nice team, but you see what happens to them on the road, they can be beat.

Iowa still has 2 games to play with down the stretch. I predict a 15-3 will win it outright and a 14-4 "might" tie for the league.

Iowa still controls their own destiny, just come back to work on Sunday and get the W.

Not sure about them losing at OSU. They blew them out by 30 last game. The biggest thing for the Hawks to avoid losses they shouldn't have. At Illinois comes to mind.

I am really tired of seeing posts about the title. We have a lot of games to go and their are some tricky spots yet to come. Let's worry about this when we get down to 3-4 games. We could easily drop a few games unexpectedly and it will not matter anyway. I am more concerned with getting to 10 wins in the B1G which means we are in the big dance. Everything else after is icing on the cake.

yes that game was at home. Maryland on the road is a different team. They are not that great on the road and I think they will get beat by at least 2 of these (@OSU, @Nebbie, @Purdue, @ IU). Those are some tough teams left to play on the road and once again Maryland is not a great road team.

Iowa has some comfort zone left, but I do realize that every game is key. Iowa has some "tough" games left and needs to bring it every night. The thing that I like is we have 4 seniors who are in the lead and are in control. Fran and Iowa will be fine. We can afford to lose 1-2 games more.

We're in first place after eight games at 7-1 after getting through the toughest part of our schedule, hell yeah I'm going to talk about winning a title. I'm not on the team, I don't have to take it one game at a time.

Guys like Baer, Uhl have been shooting lights out from 3....Jok and Clemmons have gotten on fire from 3 during B1G play...Uthoff is Larry Bird....If we shoot the 3ball at 41 percent clip for rest of B1G we win B1G. If we shoot like this, than we will lose a handful. I do like the way Woody is playing..he is another bright spot right now.

I think we win vs NW.

Talk all you want but there's a long way to go. Heck of job going 7-1 out of the gates no doubt but there is little margin for error to get a title. The pressure builds and the team may hit a wall after expending a ton of energy to get off to this great conference start.

This team will not fold. Unlike the years prior when Iowa had a meltdown, we had to play the top teams in the league. Also Fran had to rely on underclassmen to carry the load. We are starting 4 seniors in the line up who have been there. I realize this is the first time they have tasted defeat since early December, but they will learn from it and move forward.

Of course there is a long way to go, but we have gone through the tough part of our schedule @ 7-1. We are at the top and if we stay focused we will stay at the top.

I actually heard from a reliable source that this team has nuts. Those are helpful down the stretch from what I can tell.
