I know that Clemmons, Gesell and Woodbury have given their all to the Iowa basketball program, but I am so glad that we don't have to see them on the court next year. Yeah, we may not win 20 games and may miss out on the tournament again, but atleast we wont have to see a PG turn the ball over at the end of each half, a "SG" who cant shoot and a 7 footer who misses more layups than a middle schooler does. I know, I know, we have to thank them for choosing Iowa during our "dark" period, but my god seniors, step up. I feel bad for Jok and Uthoff after today's game. They did not deserve to lose that game the way they were playing.

They played like freshman... honestly I would be flat out embarrassed if I played like they did. Hell, a freshman walk-on out played them today.

Has there ever been a worse stat line for 3 Senior Hawkeye starters in a tournament game?

2-20 FG
0-2 FT
9 TO's

I expect to see this stat line for Freshman. I understand playing in Indy is a tough venue and something different.

But for your seniors to play that bad. That's just pathetic overall. How does a coach handle that and how do you address it? If I was Fran I would tell the seniors to either shape up or Ship out. Play the freshman, that was just pathetic.

Good thing is it is just basketball. Great young men, either they lack talent or didn't work hard enough, because they were mediocre B1G players. Clemmons, Woody, Geselll...pretty much dead weight for Uthoff and Jok.

Unless someone improves like crazy, where in the hell will the scoring come from besides Jok? With the current roster, Jok will be triple teamed and nobody else has the offensive skills to compliment Jok.

If I'm Jok... I seriously consider going pro. Fran has shown very little ability to develop more than an occasional offensive threat in his time at Iowa. We had two, not one, four year starters that NEVER developed any scoring game.

If fans expect the stud from Missouri to be a star next season, I'm afraid we saw today that you can't win a game with only two scorers.

I give Clemons a pass, no one ever expected him to be a scoring machine.
