This article seems to be written every time there's a big night game in Iowa City but I found this part kind of funny:

"We've never had a game start at 7:30 as far as I can remember," said the captain. "It poses a unique challenge."

So 30 minutes makes the difference?

Would expect the surge to downtown to happen around 11:30. Pretty late to get a rush crowd to already packed bars. I might have to see what it’s all about.
