The reason education is going down is because of shitty parents and the advancement of technology.

Nothing to do with not being able to read a book about N Jim.

I agree that teachers and technology play a role. However, it's naive to think that banning books doesn't negatively impact education, literacy rates and the like.

After spending the first 21 years of my life in Iowa, BEFORE they started banning books, you'd think I'd know the abbreviation for our southern border state. That's on me.

I am not sure about the accuracy of the posted article. PEN cited the Des Moines Register as its source. The Register has a database of banned books, but it lists a total of 1,243 banned books rather than 3,600 books.
