Definitely need him to step up this year. I wish they would redshirt Hockaday because if Mends wins the job Hockaday will struggle to get on the field and I think he can be really good. Of course maybe he can take over for Jewell in the middle.

I agree with you, but I think that we need to play 5 LB's this year and maybe 6 for them to get the experience... We have the talent and based on the past years players get hurt and have to sit a game or two...

I see what you are saying. I guess I wish they would have just redshirted him last year. This is why you end up with situations like Ott. he played some meaningless snaps at the end of his freshman year instead of redshirting and lost this year because of it. Hockaday didn't play enough last year to warrant removing the redshirt.
