Sounds like the parents don't watch their 2 year old like they should.

Glad the child made it but clearly the parents were negligent in watching their child.

Probably so. He was playing in another room and snuck out the back door. And his aunt and uncle were negligent in not installing the mandated gate. Lots of blame to go around. Whatever else is true, I never felt "good" about it...had nightmares for years.

Regulations now say that the slats must be close enough so that the babies can't get their heads between them.

Pool regulations are continually updated in an attempt to reduce deaths like those. So...I don't think you've made the point you think you have.

First, it's not a lie. I'm not a hunter, so my guns have never been used to kill any animals. I have a 12 gauge shotgun for skeet shooting and a .22-cal rifle for target practice. Never killed anything with either of them.

Second, you don't know very much about guns, do you? Guns are made for more than just killing. Some guns are made for target practice and will never be used to kill anything. Some guns are made for home defense and hopefully will never need to be used. Sometimes a gun just needs to be seen or heard to be effective. The sound of a pump action shotgun being loaded often will scare off a home intruder without having to fire a single shot.

Many guns are never used to kill anything and the vast majority of guns are never used to kill a person. If that wasn't true then there wouldn't be very many people left in this country.

Some guns are made to start races.

332 kids under the age of 2 have died from cords on blinds. Ban blinds and sue blind companies!!!!

Had a friend lose his son this way a few years back.
