on defense. The biggest problem was the lack of variety in defense.

Exactly. I’m just appalled by those who are beating Jbo for this game. The guy had 18 points, 6 rebounds and 2 assists, and I think one turnover if you count the lazy hand off from LG. I was hoping Iowa would hire a good defensive assistant a couple of yrs ago when they had the chance. But alas.

Second game in a row that I thought Luka faded a little down the stretch. I don't want to blame the guy who's carried us most of the year but he got blocked and forced too many shots late. Missing 9 FTs in the last 2 games hurt too, some were front ends...

I think he is grinding because no one has matched his fire when its needed.

Luka is getting doubled and tripled teamed and is taking
a beating. He is not getting the help from his team mates
who often lack the intensity and will to win.

Luka is getting pounded by 2 or 3 different players the entire game while the refs swallow their whistles. Then he gets to play tough post defense while watching wide open shots rain down from the perimeter. Gotta be frustrating.

Garza and JoeT...those guys are working every second they are out on court. Keegan also a high effort guy.
Garza came back to lead this team but he needs some help and he needs a coach that makes decisions based
on metrics/advanced stats, not on gut feel.
