4th kids' car totaled in 3 years

With teenage drivers and multiple accidents, what does car insurance cost you?

I let the wife pay for the insurance as they are my step children. I cover other bills. No idea. Probably going up now.

One of accidents was the car parked out front with no driver in our house in it, hit be a drunk driver. Not sure if that counted for insurance points but I'm sure it did.

Do you have towing on your policy?

None of them their fault.

Last night some asshole was speeding and T-boned my daughter and her boyfriend. Hit them so hard that they were pushed into a yard and destroyed someone's nice porch.

Luckily no serious injuries for the two I care about. Driver that t-boned them got ambulanced. With his recklessness driving, I'm guessing he was not wearing his seat belt.

Slow down folks. If you can't plan ahead, show up late. Not worth driving like idiots.
The crosswalk countdown clock has caused people to speed up to make the yellow light thus causing more accidents.

Sorry to hear about the accident Jimmy. Glad the kids weren’t hurt. Better watch them this weekend as they’ll be sore from it and try to get each other the “rub down”!

They were in a Honda Pilot (used). Old used cars are the way to go for teenagers. Nothing to worry about investment wise, and daughter didn't want to drive anything nice around. She is practical.

I should have a picture on here soon.
Appreciate the response. I’m always curious which cars hold up well in accidents, especially when children start driving. Again, I’m glad no one was seriously injured.

Sorry OP, glad to hear everyone is okay though.

Everyone I’ve ever met is a worse driver than me and I’m not even that good honestly. We all suck.

I'm automotive disabled. Meaning, I learned nothing from my old man when I was a kid when I could have. Now, everything is so computerized I'm not sure it would help me today if I had learned.

Nasty looking crash this morning on 380 just north of 80 on the way to pickle ball. Everyone going 10 over with 5 lanes to use. How they wreck who knows….
If it was the southbound side, i can pretty much guarantee it was some asshole waiting too long to get into the new exit lanes. I see it most every day.
As much as the new interchange there at 380/i80 is a huge improvement, they didn't do a good job of planning for the volume of traffic that goes from 380 southbound to either i80 east or west. At any given time 9/10 southbound cars use the exit, which is essentially 1 lane until it splits after you've merged, vs 3 lanes that continue south. Poor design there.

So I am told. But I tend to f things up in that area. I'd rather pay a couple hours of labor and have it done right.

Kind of like I wouldn't tell you to youtube handling a divorce or criminal indictment. I know my limits.
