college FB is ruined. who can afford this? who is buying tix at face value? such a sad state of CFB
and thats reasonable huh? what planet r u on?Stubhub has them for $914.
Is it $5,000 like OP says? It's a home playoff game against an in state team that hasn't played in 33 years.and thats reasonable huh? what planet r u on?
Same way a home game is. Ticket allotment for the away team. Ticket allotment for whatever the university will use them for. Then season ticket holders have the option to purchase their seats. Then single seats on sale.If the Hawks had a home playoff game, how would the tickets have been made available?
I would pray for bad weather and watch buy minutes before kickoff. If it happens in next 4-5 years, I bet the price tag will easily be $400 a piece for a pair of nose bleeds for Iowa's first playoff game in Kinnick. Easily
Should be some legislation on places like Stubhub. Charging 30% in fees is criminal. Should cost no more in fees for a Super Bowl ticket than it does for a crappy low level college basketball game nobody cares about.Second hand ticket market is bullshit, it has been for a while now, then you add on the fees and it's even more laughable. What is face value for those seats?
Agreed, the scalping shit has got to stop as well. It would get rid of all these ****ing brokers buying ticket (I.E. the Debbie game).Should be some legislation on places like Stubhub. Going to price themselves out of making any money because attendance will go down. Probably what happened to ASU vs ISU.college FB is ruined. who can afford this? who is buying tix at face value? such a sad state of CFB
LOL, this shows the exact opposite of that. Neither of those teams are big draws.Going to price themselves out of making any money because attendance will go down. Probably what happened to ASU vs ISU.
Yeah, it’s been going on for awhile now…30% is kind of low based on my experience…😢Should be some legislation on places like Stubhub. Charging 30% in fees is criminal. Should cost no more in fees for a Super Bowl ticket than it does for a crappy low level college basketball game nobody cares about.
I'm all for capitalism in its current state getting a makeover.Agreed, the scalping shit has got to stop as well. It would get rid of all these ****ing brokers buying ticket (I.E. the Debbie game).
Actually, a lot of smarter people are picking up on what's really happening with CFB, which is short term gains for long term unsustainability and failure.Huge demand is ruining college football?
I think you have it backwards. CFB is THRIVING.
Don't get me wrong, if I had the money to buy $100 ticket to go to an Iowa game against any team and spend a weekend in Iowa City like the good ole days, I absolutely would. If you want a wide open market unfettered by regulation, this is the result.
While I personally don't care in this instance, admittedly I'd likely feel different if Iowa actually made the playoffs as that's only scenario I'm even somewhat interested in attending a game in person again.
Saw Eagles in DM twice with Glenn Frey for a fraction of that. You couldn’t give me tickets to see them w/o GF.We just paid $2,700 for 4 ticks to see the Eagles at the Sphere. All of these prices are cheap compared to what people were paying for T Swift tickets over the past year and a half.
Both ISU and the Big 10 championship ticket prices were $40 lower bowl - $20 second tier..Going to price themselves out of making any money because attendance will go down. Probably what happened to ASU vs ISU.
There are no nosebleed seats in Kinnick. If it happens in next 4-5 years, I bet the price tag will easily be $400 a piece for a pair of nose bleeds for Iowa's first playoff game in Kinnick. Easily
That's what's behind all of these prices.Agreed, the scalping shit has got to stop as well. It would get rid of all these ****ing brokers buying ticket (I.E. the Debbie game).

I'd pay to see Swift fall out of the booth at KC.We just paid $2,700 for 4 ticks to see the Eagles at the Sphere. All of these prices are cheap compared to what people were paying for T Swift tickets over the past year and a half.
I mean, let’s not look at reality here and understand this is a truly once in a lifetime deal for Indiana fans. 11-1, made the playoffs, and they get a game with one of the biggest football brands in the world who just so happens to have cast an extremely large shadow over Indiana over the years.college FB is ruined. who can afford this? who is buying tix at face value? such a sad state of CFB

Nebraska tickets were darn cheap before kickoff.
What a deal!Stubhub has them for $914.
ISU/Arizona State tickets could be had for $8.Stubhub has them for $914.
I always get free tickets from Western Iowa Nebraska fans when Iowa plays them in Lincoln.I mean, let’s not look at reality here and understand this is a truly once in a lifetime deal for Indiana fans. 11-1, made the playoffs, and they get a game with one of the biggest football brands in the world who just so happens to have cast an extremely large shadow over Indiana over the years.
I once flew across the country and paid $250 per seat to watch Ohio state prison rape Iowa in the game of the week in 2006. I’d pay $1,000 to watch Iowa play Notre Dame @ south bend in playoffs because it is probably the only way it will ever happen.
Game in Indiana. Both schools from Indiana. Pretty reasonable assumption it'd have the highest ticket prices. Folks can go to the game without having to pay for a hotel room or a flight. The ND/Indiana ticket is much higher than any other game. This will be a wine/cheese/corporate crowd and sellers will get what they're asking
