5k to see IU vs ND

And the collesium closed due to waning support. I see D1 having the same fate with the unfriendly family environment it is on track for.

If feel sorry for an Indiana fan, perhaps someone that has followed them through all of the dark days of IU football,. Now they have to cough up $1,000+ for a ticket?

Those fans haven’t paid for anything in years….road/away games, bowl trips, gear. I’ve probably paid $50,000 to $100,000 on tickets and costs associated with trips to watch the Hawks play football in AZ, TX, and FL over the years and enjoy the warm weather during what used to be extreme cold winters. Now it’s not so bad for winters. They get to buy inflated tickets to the game and still be home that night since the game is only a few hours away for most people in Indiana.

For sure. That guy paid exorbitant prices to see a facsimile of the Eagles. Ain’t the same.
That guy is me and I've probably seen a half dozen Eagles shows in my lifetime. After Frey died I saw Don Henley with his own band at Ravinia and it was awesome. This show has everyone sans Glen Frey with Frey's son Deacon playing his dad's part. The dude sounds and looks exactly like a 20 something Glen Frey in his prime. And finally, it's in the Spere in Vegas. The show will be terrific in every way.

Respect that, just not a big fan of Zombie bands.

Wow is everyone panicked enough? You know Iowa rose bowl tickets were just as high on the secondary market the week of the announcement in 2015? Guess what. They came down. A lot.

no thanks.
My comfy recliner, non stop snacks and booze, and comfy private bathroom trumps it all. Anyone spending even 1k on a college FB game needs their damn head examined. I wouldn’t spend that based sorely on principle!

This right here. I get the whole experience of being at the game (been to some great bowl games, but those were nosebleed seats for $75 or so per ticket) but no way am I paying anywhere near that kind of coin to go to ANY event. My 65" 4K is a cheap and attractive alternative, and I can use the money on other things that are sorely needed.

I hear you, but this "zombie band" still has Don Henley, Joe Walsh, Timothy Schmidt, Vince Gill, and Steuart Smith.

Guy's got 22 Grammy awards, sang lead vocals for Pure Prarie League, and has played with the Eagles for 7 years. He's always had a great voice.

Oh, and Joe Walsh is THE MAN!

Love the Dude!
saw the Eagles in concert a few months before Frey died and Vince Gill was no where to be found. Grammies are not the end all. Stevie Wonder has 25 Grammys - wouldn’t work. Everyone has different music tastes and standards so if you like the new arrangement and will buy tickets that’s all that matters (especially to the promoters).

I think the last time I saw them was at Soldier Field back in 2010. It was a great show with Keith Urban and the Dixie Chicks. You should check out the video I posted. I've been in the Sphere but not for a concert. The visuals will be amazing.

Game in Indiana. Both schools from Indiana. Pretty reasonable assumption it'd have the highest ticket prices. Folks can go to the game without having to pay for a hotel room or a flight.

On a side note: Pretty incredible that Indiana is in the playoff. Sure didn't call that pre-season. Being a "underdog" fan I'll be rooting for them which pretty much ensures they'll get wrecked :(
Everything u said is why Ferentz needs to be fired. A good coach like Cignestti actually gets crap done

Price yielding. Folks that don’t live in state (which there are for ND, and if IOWA grads are any indication, many from IU), and/or want to ensure their choice of ticket, will bite the bullet at initial pricing. Folks using time as a hedge for discounted rates may see some discount, but will not end up with their choice. I wouldn’t pay those prices, but others will. Good for them.

All this BS morality speak about “greed” is equally matched with noted jealousies. Otherwise, why care who buys the tickets at whatever price.

Something is only worth what someone is willing to pay for it. Looks like they are going for about $700 now on Stubhub and probably will be around $3-400 by next Friday if I had to guess.

I found this today as I was wondering on the allotment for visiting teams. Guessing this is on the low side but maybe it is the norm for the first round games.

“Visiting teams will receive 3,500 tickets, with a maximum of 500 of those available to the band,” Vannini wrote. “The fans can be split up into no more than two blocks, with at least 1,500 in the lower bowl. The visiting team will decide where its band sits, but it must have access to the field.”

Yeah, I have zero concern about whether or not ticket prices are ridiculous for a live sporting event. No more than for a concert, trip to earth orbit or any other luxury good.
