It is great to be an Iowa Wrestling fan.

Go Hawks!

Brackets are up on Track. Interested to see Ayala/McKee

I’d pick Iowa to walk away with 3 champs (assuming no MFFs): Ayala, Schriever, Kennedy. Bennet should have a good shot too

I honestly don’t know much about the people in the bracket at 174 but Swafford is opposite Broderson, so he seems set up to make a good run as well

Just hoping we get to see multiple matches out of these guys and no MFFs. Go Hawks!

I hope Ayala finishes no worse then third considering there are only 4 people in the bracket.
on the plus side, he's guaranteed two good matches with the round robin. about as good as you can ask for at an open. Renteria is a solid recruit and McKee is obviously good, but up and down. McKee is an interesting test because of his style. I could see his tricks being tough to deal with for a youngster, but we'll see.

Prepare to be disappointed then. Think Bennett will be 1 match then done. I’m hoping Schriever wrestles the whole thing but last tournament he only wrestled twice.
good news is his first match is against a solid guy, so even if he only does one, we'll get a decent look.

What a way for a top recruit entering his 2nd college tournament waiting is the 3rd place finisher from ncaas last year. Think Ayala will pull it out

Teske was supposed to wrestle too. Guess he passed on the opportunity. As he was in the uni press release to be wrestling.

fwiw, mckee got beat pretty badly by Mastro in the ok. state dual. he can be really hard to gauge. yes, he was 3rd last year, but the 15 seed and 8th at big tens. i guess what i'm saying is don't overreact to any result here, good or bad.

Mckee is legit - mastro prob just got better. He does do some stuff from neutral. Great freestyler as well

i think we've seen enough of mckee over the past 3 years to know he goes through extreme high and lows. if there's any outlier in his career, it's the 3rd place finish. still a great match for ayala to get this early. mckee will test him in every position.

I get it. Up and downs and the mastro thing. However he is tough. If Ayala gets by him. That’s a huge early career win

Teske vs Ayala for title of greatest Dodger of all time. Wow, that would have been something.
Greatest Dodger of All-Time? That would be Bill Koll. 3x NCAA Champion and twice Outstanding Wrestler and 1948 Olympic Team. And a Bronze Star to boot at Normandy in WWII.

In my lifetime it would probably be Joe Zuspann, 3x All-American (?) and a Finalist for Iowa State.

I assume this is Jason's little bro? Drake struggled with his strength early, but took control in the 3rd as Rentaria gassed out.
Right renteria owned him in the 1st with take down and ride - renteria very slick
