99 year old woman killed in accident with a ICFD truck

The ICFD had responded to a medical call at Legacy Senior Living, and as they left the care facility the truck struck and killed the woman. My guess is she was also a resident. The state patrol is handling the investigation.

I know a lot of firefighters up here. Their rules require a person staged behind the vehicle with an handheld alert button any time one is backing up.

Last week a Nebraska State Trooper was killed by a snowplow backing up.

McAcy and another trooper responded to a crash near Mile Marker 424 that involved a snowplow and two other vehicles around 9:20 a.m. Monday, authorities said.

One of the cars hit the back of a snowplow, and McAcy and the other trooper checked on everybody involved. The other trooper provided aid to a vehicle in the south ditch, the state patrol said.

At that time, McAcy spoke to the snowplow driver who was outside their vehicle and it is believed that McAcy asked the driver to move the snowplow from the median shoulder, according to authorities.

McAcy was returning to the other vehicles when the plow began to drive in reverse and hit McAcy, the state patrol said.

Authorities said drivers witnessed the crash and alerted the other trooper, who immediately rendered aid along with the plow driver and others.

McAcy died from his injuries at the scene.

A crazy, hot MILF at the gym said the woman was seen on video walking near, or at the rear, of the truck as they were inside the facility, and then crawled underneath it. I told her I didn't think the crew was to blame, but I had my doubts on a 99 year old woman crawling under the truck. But, stranger things have happened.
