PSU will recruit over guys. I don’t blame them cause the coaches job is to get the best guys and win. Unfortunately that doesn’t seem like TNT mentality. I feel Iowa should be looking for better options at 133, 157, 165, 184, & 197.
Kerkvliet's history is like a soap opera.Did they get him with the portal? I was thinking he went to PSU right out of HS.
Lol! Take advice from you? Sorry keyboard warrior but I’ll pass. PK would be the last out of the 5 weights I listed to worry about, but no AA this year and its 50/50 if he will make the stand next year.165? Lol. Between your confusion about assistant coaches and this post, it isn’t your day. Maybe take the rest of the weekend off.
That is definitely true, but it isn’t that hard of a sell for businesses to give to non-profits like RTCs given the tax benefits.. Give them a little inside access to the program, they give money to you instead of the IRS, everybody wins. I get it’s extra work for coaches, but if there are businesses in your college town it isn’t that hard of a sell. They should still be better off than most schools in the NIL space, even if it’s a pro sports townMpls/St.Paul doesn't care about the Gophers.
It's 100% a pro sport's area
Rumor has it he wants to transfer some place that enhances his chances of winning individual championships. That would be Penn State, certainly not Iowa. Just saying.Screw them commies!!!! This would be a HUGE get for the HAWKS!!!
That's a little ridiculous. The biggest reason that Kennedy didn't AA this year is because of how insanely tough 165 was. The list of non-AAs includes Ramirez, Kharchla, Facundo, Olguin, etc. The best 165 in the portal is Olejnik, who was 8th. He is not an upgrade over Kennedy.Lol! Take advice from you? Sorry keyboard warrior but I’ll pass. PK would be the last out of the 5 weights I listed to worry about, but no AA this year and its 50/50 if he will make the stand next year.
I doubt very many of these things come down to just who is offering the most NIL. These guys want NIL $ obviously, but as long as they are getting enough to not be scraping pennies together, I think most are looking for the best opportunity in both wrestling and education.Regarding Nagao...if this is 100% NIL, from Minny's standpoint, they need to hit up someone like Brock Lesnar to get some $$$ momentum.
I can't envision much corporate help coming from business interests in the TCs.
There isn't much talent left to poach from the Gophers roster, but they do have a relatively highly rated 125 in the pipeline.

Who exactly do you "magic" into the lineup that is not only clearly better, but more proven and likely to AA in a field that deep? It's not like PK didn't AA because he choked or isn't very good. He lost to Amine(3x AA 7t,4th,4th) and Ramirez(2x R12).Lol! Take advice from you? Sorry keyboard warrior but I’ll pass. At risk of sounding overly cynical, I suspect quality of education is pretty low on most transfers’ lists.I doubt very many of these things come down to just who is offering the most NIL. Fair point. Terry hasn't coached any individual lightweight champions.Rumor has it he wants to transfer some place that enhances his chances of winning individual championships. That would be Penn State, certainly not Iowa. Just saying.
Ahh. Thanks I do remember that now.Kerkvliet's history is like a soap opera.
While in high school he committed to Minny. After that and before graduating high school, he changed, or daddy did, his mind and committed to Okie State. Subsequently, and I believe it could have been the summer after he graduated high school...he changed allegiance to tOSU.
Then there were some changes in the wrestling room at Columbus and he ended up at PSU.
I believe his old man is a wackadoodle or at least a constant voice in his ear.
He also coached that Cejudo guy to a Gold Medal.Fair point. Terry hasn't coached any individual lightweight champions.
If I remember the story, he was going to be the 197 at Minny with GS at Hwt.Ahh. Thanks I do remember that now.

Don’t tease us, spill it if you know somethingRumor has it.....
UH wait a minute.....
What was that????
You don't say!
Correction, NOT a rumor anymore! It has been confirmed that YOU are a NITWIT!!!
Be very careful as a STORM is brewing!!!!
Don’t tease us, spill it if you know something
Is this because you failed English 101?Not only does his post not hint that he makes a secret, he’s also never known anything.
This is the guy at the top of my wish list. He can ride like a banshee, and he’s a good scramblerz I think he and woods would make great workout partners. Whatever it takes Iowa. This covers a big hole.Aaron Nagao the latest to enter into the portal. He has 3 years left and would make a great Hawkeye.
Looks like he took a grey shirt and red shirt, so not as young as I thought. How high was he ranked coming out of high school??This is the guy at the top of my wish list. He can ride like a banshee, and he’s a good scramblerz I think he and woods would make great workout partners. Whatever it takes Iowa. This covers a big hole.
The way he rode RBY at NCAAs was impressive. Woods and Spencer could teach him some tilts and he could be a monster on top. Needs to improve his neutral game though. Drake at 125, Aaron at 133, and Real at 141. Sign me up for that. Add Cody at 149/157. Yes sir. This is the guy at the top of my wish list. They way he rides, Eierman would be the better training partnerThe way he rode RBY at NCAAs was impressive. Woods and Spencer could teach him some tilts and he could be a monster on top. True forgot about Eierman. They way he rides, Eierman would be the better training partner
Not sure that’s a thing when the other team pulls in top 10 pfp recruits consistentlySo far who has Cael gotten from the portal? After they have had any sort of success anywhere else? Dean is the only one that comes to mind. The 25 pounder from Central Michigan a few years ago but that didn't really work out. So far we seem to be doing pretty good in the portal wars.
True, when you do a great with high school recruiting there is no need for the portal, so it’s nothing to brag about beating PSU in this area. Not sure that’s a thing when the other team pulls in top 10 pfp recruits consistently
Agree with all but 65…PSU will recruit over guys. I don’t blame them cause the coaches job is to get the best guys and win. Unfortunately that doesn’t seem like TNT mentality. I feel Iowa should be looking for better options at 133, 157, 165, 184, & 197.
Are we really going to do this again? You ran away from the last thread when called out. Just stop.He wouldn't have started at UNI.
No. I have seen you on other boards. You aren't normal. Who are your contacts? Mine are pretty tight. Are we really going to do this again? You ran away from the last thread when called out. Just stop.
Small peen alert!!Rumor has it he wants to transfer some place that enhances his chances of winning individual championships. That would be Penn State, certainly not Iowa. Just saying.
Think he has in reversed. Better light weight track record at Iowa, but better chance of team title next year at PSU. Unless we get our dream transfers for next year that is.Small peen alert!!
Interesting Top 3. Cornell - returning national champ. Iowa - two guys at 133 who are not a slam dunk pushover for the starting spot. PSU - wide open path to starting position. Seems like a pretty easy choice unless I’m missing something.
How about blue chip recruit Robbie Howard who red shirted last year for you guys??Interesting Top 3. Cornell - returning national champ. Who is “you guys”? I want him to choose Iowa. Just thinking from his point of view. Howard is an option at 133 but hasn’t been healthy for a couple years. How about blue chip recruit Robbie Howard who red shirted last year for you guys??
