It's worse this week than it's been all year. NO ONE is giving a chance against Michigan State, which is stupid. They aren't unbeatable by a long shot. They've had plenty of struggles and plenty of games where they underwhelmed. This outclass Iowa at every position garbage is beyond ridiculous. I even read some hall fans spewing this drivel. Just one more week of silencing the nonsense for this group. I think we see a really motivated Iowa team that plays a tremendous game and shuts everyone up! This game can't get here soon enough. I'm tired of people talking and jabbering across the country. Let's play already! Sparty has an ass kicking coming Saturday night!

They have 1 loss and 2 more games in which they were losing with no time on the clock. Yet, they are supposed to somehow be virtually unstoppable?

I don't really care about disrespect so much. But it would be nice to hear thoughtful analysis and opinions from outside of Iowa not swayed by this would-be juggernaut MSU.

To the national media.

After we win.

It is odd that the line is 3.5 yet the world is acting like Iowa is a 28 point dog.

If all games were decided on point spreads and eyeball tests the suits would have the same 4 teams in the playoffs every year no matter what their records were at the end of the year. Playing the games seem to have a way of derailing their hopes.

Listening to Mark Packer and Eddie George on Sirius XM yesterday. They didn't pick a winner, but told a Mich St fan that they should be really nervous about playing Iowa. Said a lot of nice things about the Hawks. They thought it was going to be a 3 pt game, either way.

Another guy called in saying the B1G was meaty oaker (wob), and Mich St would beat Iowa by at least 2 td's. He was really high on Stanford and the Pac 12. They pretty much shut him down right away by bringing up Stanford's loss to Northwestern. All he had to say after that was "we'll see."

Anyway, I like to get insight from people who know more about the game than I do (pretty much everyone). That's why I listen. ThIs is one case where, respect or not, it doesn't matter because it gets to be settled on the field. That doesn't always happen.

Lincoln Kennedy said he thought Iowa would win...so did Wannstadt...

Three people I know and who follow college football religiously like Iowa in this one too...one is a Bama fan and the other two are Badger fans.

I like Cowherd...but he isn't on around here anymore that I know of...He is just a little cock rooster trying to drum up numbers for his show. It is entertainment...

I has a chance...which most football teams no longer have this time of year. I like our chances in this one... I think Iowa's O-line is confident and relishing the opportunity to play ball with MSU's touted d-line...and we will see what happens.

It is all merely fuel to the fire... I for one personally think the coaches feed off this and use to fire up the players... And I wouldn't have it any other way!

Not "no one." LC has $100 on the Hawks, straight-up.

Idiots like Finebaum have no idea the history of the series that last decade or so. Saturday will be a tough, hard nosed, old fashioned, slobber knocker of a football game. The way football was meant to be played. Chances are it will be a close game in the 4th quarter.

The opinions of the sports talking heads are worthless. Why? Because it's not about the Hawkeyes at all. It's about boosting their sports networks' TV ratings. I choose not to pay any attention to their noise. GO HAWKS!!

Agree - I was going to post earlier that I have spent about 16 hours in the car this week and there has only been a handful of times I actually thought Iowa was disrespected. For the most part I have heard a ton of good things about Iowa especially on Sirius Channel 84. Even callers are complimenting Iowa - reading this board I thought every radio program took 45 minutes to discuss how bad Iowa was.
