Good for them. Nothing wild, but they saw it as a deliberate cheap shot and made him pay for it. Really wish the Big Ten would have stood up and declared this unacceptable a long time ago in the case of one the serial offenders.
It should be longer but they only have one game left anyway. Now if he comes back for his COVID year then go ahead and slap another game on next year too.Glad they did it but think it should be two or three games. Of course his last name likely had an effect on the length.
It's amazing isn't it that in any other setting that is assault and criminal liability would attach. In sports you can do it and people will justify itBullshit on this. That player should be out the rest of the tournament(s) game(s).
I honestly didn't think that McGowens was doing anything other than trying to pull back once he realized that there wasn't a play to be made. That's why his elbow was flexed like that as he was trying to pull his arm away. It wasn't a cheap shot and McGowens was obviously trying to avoid falling on top of him at the end of the play as well. His own teammate commits worse in games all season long and gets away with it.Just for sh*ts and giggles:
Perhaps Johnny should look to clean up his own house.
Did you just start watching Wisconsin THIS year?Wisconsin seems to be changing their identity to kind of a thug team. Gard included.
