After Some Thought...I Want The Pinstripe Bowl

Music City would be awesome but 7 - 5 from here is a big disappointment.

Music city is where Iowa want to go but it Iowa is 9-3 or 8-4 I don't think we go there

I think that barring a crappy finish to the year, the Holiday Bowl will want Iowa and vice versa.

I think any of those three options would be fine. At least they are something different

NYC might be expensive but it would be great experience for players

San Diego's greatest assets are its coastal location, balmy weather, and tourist-focused parks: SeaWorld, the San Diego Zoo and Wild Animal Park, and LEGOLAND California. The city offers both the benefits and drawbacks of a tropical cruise vacation: it is highly organized for maximum relaxation and consumption, but visitors seeking culture and history should probably get on a different boat. Old Town, a theme area constructed to look historic, is an ironic twist of an apparent void of everything...

Besides Tijuana is just down to road for your adult entertainment.

Even though it is closest, Dallas would suck as I have to work those days day before to day after and it is Dallas.

I take Holiday. Got a bro that lives there, and I haven’t been to Cali since the Rose.

Meh, Ill care when theres real playoffs like every other level of football.

Waiting untill the end of the season to play a meaningless exhibition just doesnt make sense anymore.

Good thing is it shouldn't be to much longer. Bowl system is dead on its feet.

Music city. Hawk fans would take over lower Broadway. The city ran out of Miller lite last year the weekend of the packers titans game. Better stock up on Busch light.

Someone has to work a Clowns/Natty Light reference in her somehow.....

I should know this, but what are the B1G bowl tie ins, and then how does it look assuming nobody from the B1G makes the playoffs?

Rose
Capital One
Outback
Holiday
Music City
San Francisco Bowl?

If they go to a bowl, they need to win it. Yet another loss in a bowl game would be a big downer for the program going forward.
Nashville seems like a good chance to get a win, at least from the perspective of potential opponents. Additionally, Iowa has fared very poorly in the Ferentz era traveling west.
I won't be traveling to wherever they might go, so I really have no preference where it is. It just really, really needs to be a win.

As someone already mentioned, no Rose this year but B1G will get one team in the New Years 6. Maybe Cotton or Peach. Delaney gets to play matchmaker instead of the bowls, so the days of Iowa jumping over people on account of our fan base are probably gone, or at least we won't have as much of an advantage as in the past when the bowls picked on their own.

Tier 1 bowls are:
Citrus (Capital One)
Outback
Holiday
Plus someone will go to NY6

You're probably looking at Penn State, Ohio State, a Michigan Team and Wisconsin for those three as it sits now, assigned based on match up and who has played recently. I think its unlikely Iowa ends up in the Holiday Bowl.

Tier 2 bowls are:
Foster farms
Pinstripe
Tax Slayer OR Music City (The ACC and B1G decide together who plays in which)

Tier 2 Bowls will likely be some combination of the other Michigan team, Iowa and Northwestern. Those above scoffing at the idea of Iowa in NYC this Christmas are forgetting how not getting a team in the playoff will hurt at bowl selection time. It's a very real possibility.

Tier 3 Bowls are:
Detroit Quick Change Bowl
Heart of Dallas OR Armed Forces Bowl (both in Dallas)

Tier 3 Bowls will be interesting. I think Indiana wins out and gets to 6 wins. Minny and Debbie play to get to 5 wins this weekend, both both are looking at losses in their final 2 games. Purdue and Rutgers have a chance.

After some thought i completely disagree with you.....bring on the Outback Bowl against a SEC team!! Or Champs in Orlando wouldn’t be bad either....

No a thousand times no overerpriced, cold, pissed off residents etc.,etc.,etc.
