Really enjoyed talking with Payton at Media Day today. He is going to be an absolute weapon this year, especially with guys like Josh Dix and Owen Freeman able to punish teams. Incredible success story for a guy who, let's remember, was looked at as a marginal high-major talent and/or "the kid you recruit to get to Pryce."

Maturity was never an issue with Payton of course, but it's clear he has grown into his role as a leader for this team, and the time he spent in the offseason developing relationships with the younger players is going to pay major dividends on the court this winter.
