Iowa is not going to go 15-0 and win the National Championship, now its fire the coaches change the QB because he is not throwing for over 300 ypg and 5 TD's per game the line is not blocking enough for Wadley to rush for over 250 ypg,
7 new starters on offense, 9-10 FR have played in the 1st 5 games added to the 8 FR that played last year, that makes 18 FR in the last 2 years,

BF is in his 1st year as the OC after being promoted from the OL Coach, the team is learning a new playbook and its not like Iowa has opened the BT season against teams like Rutgers and Illinois like Nebraska has.

no Iowa has played #4 PSU and 3-1 MSU. but hey keep crying in whatever you are drinking

While I agree the sky isn't necessarily falling, your comment about the team learning a new playbook made me chuckle. Iowa runs the most basic offense in college football. LOL

this playbook has been changed from what GD used, with 9 new players on offense some starting some playing. just what were you expecting?

What Brian said in the preseason, they are going to use the entire field to get playmakers in space. That hasn't happened yet.

The one time they spread MSU out w/ a five wide set, they gained 20 plus yards then go away from it down 10. That makes no sense to have one of the better gains all day then move away from it. At least go four wide to spread out the D so Wadley or any other running back a chance to run in space or cut back. Hell, have a half back pass to keep the D honest.

So tired of boring, vanilla football that keeps you in ball games instead of going out and winning them. Quit being so damn conservative cause you will never get playmakers to Iowa with this type of football.

Give Captain Kirk a break. He hasn't been here long enough to get the playmakers he wants.

Why accept mediocrity?

MSU was 4-8 last year and lost to Notre Dame 38-10. ND was 4-8 last year too

LOL. It would take about five minutes to memorize our playbook. Don't believe me? Ask any of the D coordinators we play.

With that said, it's more about the Jimmie's and Joe's than the x's and o's.

Recruiting!!!

We did see a few new plays the first 4 weeks this season. Yesterday, we went back to what we've seen for the past several years. We have to be the easiest team in the Big Ten to prepare for. Throw on any game footage from 2005-2016 and you can see exactly what we do.

Wow, Kilroy still has his uncanny ability to still get mass comments in his threads ( and yes I know I'm one of them)... Amazing really

If you think the typical fan is over doing the negatives youre really overdoing the reality. Were mad cause Wadley hasnt put up 250 ypg? Have you looked at the running numbers or simply watched the games?

Im guessing the Penn state coaching staff thinks we are pretty good....

But hey im sure the tantrum throwing fans know better

Of course they do. Thinking otherwise they'd have to admit that they almost got beat by a team who couldn't beat a 3 win team from last year.

the same idiots that predicted 6n6 now complain Iowa isn't playing good enough.

in actuality they should be happy Iowa lost.
they conflict themselves.

I've seen a lot of people open. They're just not 15 feet tall to catch Stanley's passes.

Go back to the main rivals board Gilligan. You haven't embarrassed the Iowa fanbase enough over there yet.

Idiots. 4 million dollars doesn't buy much these days. I don't get out of bed for less than 500K. I think a hefty raise is in order, if we want a motivated football staff.

Be grateful we could be Lsu or Tennessee those programs have issues not saying ours doesn't we will get better it was a ridiculous loss I'm over it .I'm moving on I'll be at homecoming can't wait. Now if we lose that game the optimism about the current team will be in question for sure

After the years of success we've had under HF and KF I've watched Iowa fans turn into little cry baby's like Nebby fans. For some reason we now think it's easy and were entitled to great teams every year. Sorry but it isn't going to happen and changing coaches could lead to a string of years like the 60s and 70s.

The Ol' devil you know argument. Hasn't stopped Wisconsin, now has it? I'll give you 1 guess why.

These coaches get paid good money to come up with a game plan, when stanley is changing play at line of scrimmage and msu players are pointing where Wadley is running too their is a big problem. The offense plains sucks with its scheme and to have a punter that can only punt the 30 yards in the air is a joke.

their OL is one of the biggest in the BT if not the FBS. it all starts in the trenches

here is how I see next years OL
RSSO LT 6'7 320 lb Jackson
SR LG 6'4 305 lb Render
SR C 6'4 295 lb 4* Daniels
RSJR RG 6'5 305 lb 4* Levi Paulson by Scout
SO RT 6'5 315 lb Wirff 4* US Army AA.

these weight are coming off this years roster.
Wirff will replace 6'3 295 lb Welsh
Levi will replace 6'4 305 lb Render,

who knows what these OL will weigh by next season and the talent is getting better. not to mention getting bigger, looks like Iowa is taking a page out of the Wisconsin book on getting OL

I was talking about the fact that they have had 3 HC's since Barry Alvarez retired and they haven't skipped a beat. Care to tell me why that is?

people complain about my use of the Stars, height and weight but when talking about OL and DL it comes in handy when looking at the future. the DL could look like this next season
RSJR 6'7 260 lb DE Anthony Nelson
RSSR 6'8 285 lb DT Matt Nelson
JR 6'5 300 lb DT Lattimore 4* by Scout
SO 6'5 275 lb DE Epenesa 5*

that would be the Biggest DL in KF's tenure. MNelson will replace 6'3 295 lb Bazata at DT, it is going to be interesting to see how big these player will get by the time the spring Roster is released.

It is confirmed--Kilroy was here. The only thing missing previously were all the stars******....

Iowa has been in big trouble for 10 years. 2009 and 2015 were just lucky seasons where the stars aligned. Reality has finally set in and someone will be going under the bus room. Dump your tickets now! Call Gary Barta and tell him to DITCH KIRK
You signed up for this board today. So many choices. Disgruntled ISU or MN fan? Nah. You're a bugeater.
