Airplane 2 is such a let down in comparison

Jim Abrahams passed away this week. Along with the Zucker brothers he created the parody style of movies popular in the 80s and 90s. Their first movie was Kentucky Fried Movie, which is hilarious if you've never watched it.

Airplane 2 is such a let down in comparison

Maybe I’m misremembering, but I thought it was a fairly decent sequel all things considered. Airplane is still considered to this day as one of the best comedies of all time so the bar was pretty high.

The underwater fight scene in “Top Secret!” was good stuff.



And “Police Squad” was a criminally underrated tv show that was canceled too soon. Ted Olson was one of the best tv characters ever.
