He grew into a 285lb this season. So basically he would have to compete with his older brother Nick, and then possibly his younger brother Seth for one spot.

This is not really a surprise as Cunningham announced that he wasn't a 197 anymore on a coach's show a month or two ago and that the future was not certain for him.

Yes, he spent this past season grayshirting and training with the NLWC. Apparently he outgrew 197 into a hwt, and didn't want to compete with his older brother and potentially his little brother coming in for the hwt spot.
