Last time trolling for ‘23, with a jump on my ‘24 resolution to be less bitter and angry. In that vein, I hope all works out for AJF joining your Hawks. Certainly young enough to learn that better choices make for a more fulfilling and respected life, I hope he recognizes how precious a second chance is, and how some never get them. Won’t hurt being part of what should be a potent murderer’s row (Arnold, Ferrari, Ferrari, Keuter) for several years. I said it before. I’m the odd Lion fan who’s not only rooted for Spencer since HS, but also wants Iowa as strong as it can be. AJ helps that happen, which makes the best college wrestling rivalry even better. No, I’ll never want an Iowa wrestler or team to beat Penn State, but I do wish your athletes (and ours (sad for SVN)) something more valuable: Good health through a certain Saturday night in March. Have a terrific 2024 that just maybe includes Spencer shocking the world. Troll out.

I absolutely would, but one thing I wouldn't encourage my daughter to do is ask someone for a ride home at 2:00 AM from the bar knowing him well enough as a "horny Italian", agree for him to come into my apartment, offer him some alcohol, agree with him to stay over night, then crawl in bed with him. Not sure why you think I need to feel better. I simply offered a recent first hand account of my experience with AJ. I personally don't care who does or doesn't root for him. My opinion of him will be based on how he represents Iowa wrestling. So far I have a good impression. I also like him a little more because it makes other teams/fans upset. Especially Dresser and company who snuck the Cuban strangler through admissions while simultaneously badmouthing Iowa.

I’ll take first-hand accounts versus ongoing speculation and opinions about someone very few Iowa fans know (AJ). Life is short. If AJ is in the black and gold let’s cheer him on and hope he continues to grow … on the mat - and most important - off the mat. Thanks for sharing your interaction and opinion.
