All of these Transfers

Randall Broddie from Memphis. Doubt we could get him, but he is a PG and had offers from Nova, Miami, Rutgers, PSU, SMU, and DePaul....Ok, he had offers from Nova and Miami. Most of the guards are listed as shooting guards.

I'd be interested in...

Christian Kessee - PG - Coppin St
Austin Arians - SF - UW-Mil
Malcolm Bernard - SF - FLA A&M
Savon Goodman - SF - ASU

As guys that could step in and at least give some good minutes. Not necessarily stars, but provide decent/good production.

Oh, and I was only looking at guys who are Jr/Sr and are eligible immediately.

doesn't do any good if we don't have any scholarships to give out. but who knows.

Some of these transfers are just leaving because they aren't good. Based on percentages, the majority will not be D-I next year.

Wouldn't mind Jimmy Whitt who announced today he is transferring from Arkansas, A lot of Hog fans and Coach Anderson very disappointed. 6-4 combo guard. IIRC he is from Columbia Missouri.

He was player of the year in the state of Missouri. I think he felt he was not getting adequate playing time, as a true Freshman. I agree, he would be a good catch, and probably will develop into a good player with another year or two.

Fans tend to evaluate players, and sometimes forget that the player is in his first year. Much like Lohaus and Woodbury.

Just saw on Twitter former Purdue guard Ronnie Johnson is a grad transfer from Houston... Has averaged about 10 points all three years he has played.

Do not want Ronnie Johnson. Purdue was glad to get rid of him and they've been better off without him.

if Fran get a transfer go get one that can play and contribute from day one, don't need one that will sit at least 1 year before he can play.

He was a high school teammate of Patrick Ingram. I don't see him as a possibility.

Syracuse PG Kaleb Joseph is transferring. Former 4* in the class of 2014

The Hawks need their next big transfer.....like Luke Recker, Adam Haluska or Jarrod Uthoff.

Sitting out a year to develop is not necessarily a bad thing.

If you are asking for BIG Transfer, what about the 7 Ft Polish Center from Drake who announced today?

He's talented, but still pretty raw. A redshirt year will no doubt help him, but if he goes to a Power 5 conference don't expect him to step in a do well right away.

Internet sources report that WI has reached out to him (having offered him out of HS) but they are one of about 5 well known teams.
My question is can he play the PG .

Coming out of HS he was listed as a PG ( IIRC it was rivals ) He was a top 100 player, I believe ranked in the 70's. I don't know that he would be what is considered a true point guard however. I didn't really watch a lot of Arkansas basketball, I did think he showed some nice potential in the limited times I saw him play. I sure don't claim to be worth a damn in regard to talent evaluation, I do know that living down here in Razorback land that most of the Hog fans I talk with are very bummed that he is transferring.

Don't get your hopes up, fellas. Fran doesn't like grad transfers because they can hurt the feelings of kids already in the program.

Well I see that you've moved on from your campaign to convince us that Fran McCaffery has trouble recruiting black players to Iowa.

I'm calling it now....................

Eddie Haskell = John Lickliter.
