All You JBo bashers……….

"Lucky shot" says this guy. How about the 2 before this to keep us in the game. He's struggled at times this year, but he has been a huge part of this team for 17 years. Give him some love.
They must not teach reading comprehension in Wisconsin.

Many posts saying that the 3 shots Bohannon nailed were clutch as hell and a big part of the reason we won. The last shot was luck. You need some luck in March.
I didn't read all the posts. I just don't understand why you'd call it lucky and no just leave it alone. What's the point of saying anything at all except JoBo (and Iowa) deserved this moment? Iowa hasn't been very lucky this year and a special season needs some luck. Bucky banked in 2 threes to win the conference, and they'll hang that banner.

Can't say I disagree with anything you said. Good for Jbo, he hit a big shot and had a helluva career here. I have made it well known I don't care for some of his antics and the way he goes about some things but eh I'm glad he is a hawkeye today.

I don't get why people get all bent out of shape for stating what I feel is a factual statement that the shot was lucky. That's all. Go hawks.

The reason I responded to that is simply because opposing fans would say "lucky" shot. That's all. I did that to Badger fans when they hit 2 to beat Purdue :)

When jbo is shooting poorly he's a liability.

That is a fact. Good point.
When any player is shooting poorly they can be a liability. When a player like JoBo requires constant attention and can't be left alone, it frees up the other players more, especially in a motion offense, even if he is off. Is that so effing hard for people to grasp? FFS.

When you're a pg with few assists and steals, play subpar defense and can't score at the hoop it's pretty important to shoot well.
How can you not figure that out?

did you see the difference in the defense in the lane when jordan was in as opposed to when joe’s defender was backed off and ready to help on penetration? probably not.

  1. I still am not a fan of him personally
  2. I’m glad he made it
  3. Jon Lichliter wouldn’t have needed to bank it in.

Who is the all-time assist leader at Iowa?

Uh huh.
Who's 4th in assist per game?

Hard to imagine him leading in assist after playing for 3 presidentd and multiple years with Garza pracitcally spitting out assists for guys. Maybe focus on this year? You can start before or after Fran made the switch as it doesn't really matter.

Nice reply. Eh, not really.....

Every defender endeavors to closely defend Jordan from about 30' and in. That started in his freshman season. Jordan became our career 3 point leader sometime in his 3rd season. Great passer. Career leader in assists, so that's kind of impressive for a guy that has shared the ball handling duties since Connor's first full season. Outstanding A/TO ratio. Need free throws to close out a win? Best career FT shooter at Iowa. Defense is probably the last box you need to check with a point guard. Good help defense and defensive rotations can mitigate, to an extent, a point guard's defensive failings.

On a great day like today give up the Bohannon hate, just for a day?

Defenses crowd the lane more when there's more threats to drive?? Well I'll be....

And basketballs are round

It appears you do not really understand how Iowa's motion offense works. Must be doing something right, Iowa is the 4th highest scoring team in the country and playing in the conference finals. It's been a long wait.

I'm just trying to understand how Little Lick worked his way into a conversation on the same day as a great Iowa victory. It's been what 12 years since John Lickliter played his entire 84 minutes? Probably time to stop trashing the now 30 something guy.

Fewer compared to others. Guess i wasn't clear
Compared to what others? No one at Iowa, that is simply a fact. He set that record before this season, so basically four seasons plus ten games in an injury RS season. Doesn't sound as grandiose as "3 presidential administrations" but it's also just as accurate.

4th all-time? Not bad for all-time 3-point baskets made in the B1G. 3rd leading scorer all time at Iowa.

Of course, there are caveats for everything. But he's damn good. Glad he's a Hawkeye!
4th all time, thought you said 1st?

Either way he's 4th this year in apg even with a ton more minutes.

they crowd the lane when there is no threat of a shot and that’s the fact…lol
Which is who? With connor and tony shooting well lately they're guarding the perimeter regardless.

How often do we not have 3 legit deep threats out there?.

Assists per game, this year compared to his teammates that play less mins.

Why would we talk about years ago when we're comparing him to other options this year?

It's just a game. Nothing to get over excited about. But we can now sleep better!:p

Oh because he’s so great. The guy has played more college basketball games then anyone else in the ncaa but they brag about his career goals all the time like he’s the best.
usually if you’re that good, you don’t stick around for 6 years.
I swear half the people on this board probably think he could beat Keegan 1 on 1, 10 out of 10 tries.

I am not sure you understand the definition of “factual” or how “facts” work
