It is far better for one van to deliver hundreds of packages instead of hundreds of cars driving to stores to get the things they need and want.

So, our neighbor has Amazon, FedEx, UPS, and the Post Office coming to their house near daily. My guess is that each bring a box or two.
Those vans have destroyed our little gravel road as they run onto the edges during wet weather.
Can they not just make one or two trips a week to the grocery store? You think this is far better?
