Party City is going out of business

Do you ever worry about your health as you age?
EVERYONE should “worry” about their health as they age.
Are you in perfect health?
If Trad doesn’t care about smoking and being perfectly okay with smelling HORRIBLE from ciggies then just worry about yourself.

Main St stores are dependent on Main St economy and $$ circulating through the communities.

There has been a continual erosion of the $$ for Main St for decades now.
The Wall St businesses have been finding ways to scrape more and more money out of the middle class and remove the money from Main St.

Examples:
  • Online betting; 10% of everything bet online leaves Main St and goes to rich Wall St companies, and overseas.
  • Junk fees; those are all going to big corporations and big banks
  • Gift cards (a huge holiday business); they take 5% or so of what you buy as "convenience fees"; all of that goes to big banks, so 90-95% of what you actually buy is what goes to the person you gifted for
  • Credit cards; eat 2%+ of everything you buy that goes to banks; Main St has to pay that

Less capital available on Main St means economic downturn over the long haul. Most of what I'd listed above did not exist much prior to the 80s and 90s (credit cards were nowhere near as prevalent). You add all those up, and it is a constant drain of the pool of money to circulate through Main St. Look up the Velocity of Money if you want to understand how taking that money supply out of flyover country impacts flyover country...

I'm not in perfect health primarily to a less than stellar diet. But I'm in good health thanks to regular exercise and doctor visits.

I like to know about other Hboters. What are some of your most significant insecurities? Are they physical or mental?
