Running a non-profit organization can be filled with wonderful surprises. Our doorbell rang earlier today. I was in the kitchen fixing lunch so Cindy answered the door. A man with a 9 x 12 envelope addressed to Wrestling for Life was standing there. Cindy asked if he wanted to talk to me. He said, "no", handed her the envelope and walked away. Inside were four all-session tickets to the Big Ten Championships and a check to help us buy tickets for the NCAA Division III Championships.
This gentleman is a longtime ticket donor who has been responsible for many young people experiencing the excitement of a wrestling event in Carver Hawkeye Arena.
I want to get the most out of his generosity so I am looking for six parent/child pairs who would like the tickets. Two pairs will get Session I tickets, two will get Session II and two will get Session III. I am asking that:
1. You have never received tickets from us before.
2. The child has never been to an NCAA Division I wrestling event.
3. The child be in middle school or younger.
Please request the tickets in order of your session preference. I will award them in the order received. You may request the tickets at jbrown@wrestlingforlife.org.
Wrestling for Life supporters are amazing!
