Parent charged with assault on referee at Burlington Middle School game

You're the dumbass who pulled race into the issue and won't stop; same with Daniel Penney! 🤡
Um, no. That was vanderputz in post #17, implying that Black people are more criminally inclined by nature, and that this is what you get with "diversity", you totally illiterate dumbass. :D:D:D:D:D:D

And that's due to their race, like JamesVanderPutz thinks?

Exactly. Pretty gross that race-dividers like @jamesvanderwulf just jump in this thread to turn this into a condemnation of his entire race.
Yeah, this goes back to when someone was asking the board about where to relocate to in eastern Iowa. I recommended Solon as a great place to live, go to school and play. Short commute to IC ( as even @Menace Sockeyes has said, " the best part of CR is the south side closer to Iowa City " ) School in Solon is rated higher than any CR school at # 42 (https://www.usnews.com/education/best-high-schools/iowa/rankings ). Menace Suckeyes quickly pointed out that Solon's lack of diversity would make it a terrible choice compared to CR. Suckeyes has played the fake ass race card ever since, so now I play along and poke the dumb phuque with a stick every chance I can, which conveniently pops up on a daily basis. Even the schools within CR he rates by diversity, if you ever noticed. Washington > Jefferson > Prairie > Xavier. His old tire schtick is played out. First dumb azz on ignore for me...

Based on the school link you posted solon people can’t read very well.
Just sayin.

I officiated AAU tournaments my first two years as a student at U of I. At a tourney in (Hills) or some other town down there was a man 3 x my age threatened to kick my ass over a junior high game call. I would have welcomed him to follow through with his threat. I just turned my back to him and eventually a couple other parents escorted him out the gym.

Parents are not only embarrassing themselves, they are embarrassing their kids.

Like you could afford to live in Solon.
I believe it might have been @Kinnick 4 Prez ( maybe/maybe not, not sure ) inquiring about moving to the area. I offered my opinion on housing options. Sounded like he could afford Solon. Someday I might sell my southern People's Republic of " Big Dick " Richard Johnson County estate, retire in Solon and buy a few Bitcoins with the left overs, but thanks Lucious for your concern. Did you answer my question about the '84 Cubs?

If you can't actually remember the town it never happened. It certainly never happened in Hills as they have no junior high. Maybe Louisa county, L & M. Naw, it didn't really happen...

Louisa-muscatine is an absolute shit hole
So it wouldn’t surprise me

Good memory!
We bought in Iowa City. West side of town, walking distance to games, quiet neighborhood, good neighbors, less then $10 Uber ride to down town. 5 min to Finkbine, less then 10 min to PV and Brown Deer, 24 min to Saddleback. Enjoy the summer festivals and Oktoberfest in Amana. Never got a good feel for anything in Coralville, and then NL and Solon seemed too far away from wanting to enjoy a college town.
Best decision we made was moving back to Iowa and calling IC home. We love it here.

You continue to invent quotes from me in order to justify your continuous snide remarks for Cedar Rapids because *GASP* Black people also live here. You are the typical lifelong loser, hiding your racist drivel behind a keyboard, Go ahead and ignore me as I have no interest in further interactions with moronic bigots. I suggest StormFront message boards. It’s more for people your type.

I went to a party with a bunch of hippies in 1991 in Lone Tree. Excellent drugs. Don’t remember much except if was hot and there were lots of horny hippie chicks there.

Well the 50-60 year old that came on the court could have used some drugs.....

I do understand the competitive nature though…… I was coaching jr high boys in NW Iowa and we had a decent team. We were ahead by 18 at halftime and we start the 2nd half with a bucket and we lead by 16 instead of 20. This continues as we were scoring but the points were put up on the other teams side. I ask the ref about it and get T’d up. Next thing you know we are stalling and trying not to score to win a game. It most definitely was maddening!

I guess if you call 7 miles south of a line between the two. Downey and West Branch as well then. North Liberty is between Hills and Solon then…
Yeah, straight line, Bro, and by the power of Casey's I navigate by useable bathrooms.

For the record, and somewhat back on topic, I think two things need to happen:

1. Many states have a law on the books that any physical confrontation between a fan/coach and a referee is a felony. We need that law on the books.

2. Referee organizations need to get together with youth leagues and just have zero tolerance policies with a lot of fan/coach behavior. In basketball, there need to be a lot more techs called on coaches and fans. I ref soccer, and there needs to be a lot more cards on coaches and fans. If parents have problems with calls, they need to talk to the coaches who will address it with the refs. If the refs truly suck (and some of them suck), the coaches need to reach out to the scheduler to address the issues. It's NEVER good to talk to parents about it, and right after a game isn't the right time for coaches to address it either.

Both good points. I know they have tried to pass legislation the past couple of sessions, but it never got to the floor of either house.

I ref high school, I won't touch the youth stuff that isn't school sponsored any more, and now even the school sponsored games are getting out of control.

Looking at the photo, he has the facial markings of fetal alcohol exposure.

Correct. If only there was a gym in Hills or Nichols or Downey or Morris or where ever this alleged “ incident “ occurred so long ago that the locale has been lost in an alcoholic fog forever. We only have the oral tradition passed down through the generations…

Another shitty-Citty High parent…
LOL, saw that doofus at halftime of the Iowa ISU women’s game last week and he was crowing to no one in particular how the cyclones were finally going to beat the Hawks. I yelled “Not happening!” as I passed by him. He looked like he wanted to stick a shiv in my neck. I wish I could have watched his emotional meltdown during the 4th quarter. How delicious.
