Iowa sits at 5-4. Seems to think Iowa can/will make a regional, but won’t win the conference due to Michigan. Time will tell.

Michigan is very good once again, but hardly indomitable. Iowa is Iowa. Heller is Iowa Baseball's answer to Kirk Ferentz. The Hawks will be fundamentally sound, execute the gameplan, know who they are, and revolve the whole program around that culture. With geographic and recruiting hurdles, they're not likely to ever be perennially elite...but they will absolutely be perennially highly competitive with elite-ish years every so often when the stars align and some "good stories" emerge.

Iowa has been in position for a regional every year except year one under Heller. All you can ask for. The program was garbage before he arrived.
