Not technically. Penniston opened up the year as the #2 TE and is healthy. He is not a good blocker though and only has one catch on the year. Jake Ferguson started as the #4 TE, but has outperformed Penniston so far. He is mostly just a pass catcher at the moment

Ordinarily, I am not a gambling man, but I would bet that Van Ginkle will play. No inisider info, just a feeling that this IA kid will want to be on the field in his home state.

Rumor in NW IA is that the VG's gave up their tix to others because their son won't be playing tomorrow night. Guess we'll see.

All over the place. There’s plenty of people saying the team is a fraud and there’s plenty of people saying they were caught looking ahead and will come out firing. I don’t know what to think of the offense since we know the offensive playbook is much bigger than we’ve seen so far. I’m not sure why we didn’t see more last week though. The defense was poor in the first half last week, but surrendered less than 100 yards in the second half. It’s tough to know how all of the inexperience will react in their first road environment

Wisconsin's defense was top 10 good last year. Most focused on your great linebacker play but my observation was the defensive backs were really good, like NFL good. Those guys are gone, to the NFL. Iowa was embarrassed in Madison. I don't know who wins but I have been saying Iowa will be in this game in the fourth quarter.

Gink will be a game time decision. I talked with family member last night. Mid to high ankle sprain. Still some swelling. If he plays he will not be at his best. Feel bad for him. His dream of playing in Kinnick May not happen.
