is grad transferring from Nebraska. Pretty much locks up Nebraska as a bottom 4 team next season.

White will be going to his third school in five years. Sounds like NBA scouts questioned if he was "NBA worthy" why Nebraska didn't have a better record a year ago....and now he (and/or his father) want to see him finish his collegiate career somewhere where he can stockpile a lot of wins.

I know he's originally from Richmond, Virginia (if geography plays a factor in choosing his final college) but Purdue has three open scholarships right now. White plays the 2 (or 3) and at least at the 2, he would only have to battle Dakota Mathias and Ryan Cline for PT.

I would prefer he not go to Purdue, as he would be a far better option for the Boilers than Mathias or Cline. I would prefer that the Hawks still had an open scholarship and get White for a year.

My guess is Nebraska puts restriction on transferring to another B1G school.

Huge blow to Miles's future at nebby. Funny how some around here were putting Miles in the HOF a few years ago.

Not retaining your best returning players is the death knell for a coach (unless you are Kentucky, where the whole point is to get guys out the door and to the NBA so you can bring in another boatload of 5 star guys). But losing your best players to transfer at places like Iowa or Nebraska ensures that you are on the hamster wheel of finishing near the bottom of the league.

This is excellent news. Nebraska had a lot of momentum and were a threat to being a perennial top half of the conference team. We already have enough of those to battle. This is good news for Iowa.

I don't think this is the death for Miles. I bet he has a pretty salty team next year. I really do think the guy can coach. He had some attitude problems with his squad and maybe this might actually help that situation. It doesn't help on paper but sometimes team dynamics are improved when a guy leaves who is unhappy.

I'm not sure they can put any restrictions on a grad transfer.

Hearing he may hook up with Shaka Smart at Texas

I bet he doesn't.

I know. I'm a long-time Purdue fan. Yes, one of your most-hated rivals has one of its faithful invading your free hoops board! Sorry, I just got excited about the prospect of the Boilers getting him and (gasp) I like this message board. Carry on about evil Iowa and the possibilities for next season's team.

Losing shields to graduation and white to transfer will be big blow for Nebraska next year. Not sure what they will have for upper classman but seemed like 3 freshman Watson, morrow and Jacobson from Waukee got lot of minutes last year. Think Watson best of the group and will be a real good player for them next 3 years.

I used to think this but this guy had a team that had a few players get hot at the right time and they made the NCAA. The past two seasons are huge disappointments IMO w the guys they had.

Mile's gets his guys to play good D but their offense is hard to watch, always has been unless Petteway was draining 3s on one of his hot streaks. Otherwise no flow to their motion and it has pretty much been an isolation offense. They have had the pieces but Miles can't put it together.

He is a below avg coach IMO w an above avg personality. The guy is very likeable but if he keeps underperforming he will be out. Has to make the tourney in the next two season or he is probably gone.

I always liked Miles. He coached at a school i went to in college. He actually subbed in for a class I took.....theory of coaching basketball. LOL

. Always followed him after that. Hated to see him go to Nebraska as I have to root against him to have any success....

I hate Purdue more in hoops than in football.
