Another report from Carver.......Nov 4th Lindsay

Definitely a different look to this Hawkeye Hoops team.
And a pretty good crowd, 9,000 at an Exhibition game.

Quick takes:

1) Joe Wieskamp can ball.......best all around player at Iowa, since ??

2) Jordan Bohannon looked just fine, last night. Hoping he feels fine today..

3) The 'Kentucky' man is a very solid 2 guard, who knows how to play defense and also
shoot the rock.
4) Luka Garza is likely the most under-rated Big in the BIG10. Looks excellent again.

5) Jack Nunge much improved........

Any word on Pemsl? People kept suggesting he was ready to dominate this year.

Yeah he was in a suit on the bench. He looked a lot like last season where he was engaged in the game and with his teammates. Can’t imagine how ready to go he is.


If 15,500 is a sell out, I’d guess somewhere in the 4,500 to 5,500 neighborhood of actual bodies in the seats. Probably 150 students, being generous.

This is correct. There was nowhere close to 9,000. Maybe half of that but hard to tell with everyone so spread out.

Last night they were: $5 for adults and free for 18u. They basically invited everyone in.

Friday they are $15/$5. They’re like $6 (before fees) on Stubhub.
