Outside of Iowa, does anybody even know Iowa State exists? In my travels around the country, people have heard of the Hawkeyes, but bring up the Cyclones and you get a blank look. Or a comment like, does Iowa have tornadoes like Kansas and Oklahoma? It's freaking hilarious and then I have to explain to people that, yes, there is another D1 college in Iowa and their nickname is the cyclones.
If we could schedule to avoid playing the four best teams in our league until the last game of the season, we might have a magical year like Iowa did this year. It would have been interesting to see how iowa would have stacked up agains Ohio St., Mich, Penn St. And Mich St in back to back weeks. You have to play the best and beat the best to make claim that you are the best. You will forever have to view this year with an asterisk because you could only prove yourself to be as good as your schedule allowed you to be. In your division, your king of the also rans.
Iowa would have gone 12-0 against isu's schedule. Meanwhile the clowns would have gone 1-11 or 2-10 at best with Iowa's.
