This is in regards an earlier post about the Iowa vs Iowa State game in football. It's just my opinion, but here's what I think.
The ISU coaches think or maybe are told by their AD and fans, that their job security is based on beating Iowa in football regularly. So, what do the coaches do? They spend a disproportionate part of their time and energy preparing for the Iowa game each year even if it cuts into their preparation for all the other games on their schedule. If they beat Iowa the AD is happy and they keep their job. As long as they beat Iowa the ISU fan base is happy even if they don't win another game.
I,m glad the Hawkeye fan base isn't that short sighted.
