Dude! If that is actually you, you need to eat a couple sandwhiches, ding dongs, something!;)

Haha. So Herk has asked me before, and there is kind of a running joke with he and I, but the truth is, when searching for an avatar I first googled "internet tough guy" but I didnt like any of the images. This gem, sorry Mrs Herk, was found under "nerds larping". I'm a little short compared to the average key board warrior, in real.life I'm 6-2 220 and am pry 10 pounds heavy of really good shape.

And if it isn't you and you know the guy, buy him something to eat!:D
Mrs. Herk has reached a level of notoriety on HROT that can’t be reversed. She said “l do” to sickness and health. She’s finally experiencing the sickness. :D:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

That's twice you have said that. I wont ask specifics but with the guys you are thinking of would you say Iowa is leading or in a Neck and neck down to the wire?

Ps. How.long have you know Bargy was off the table now that he committed to MN? Thanks as always Blair.

Yeah. One player doesnt make a team but that is a heck of a get for them. If he reaches his potential he will be a stud.
Given how the fighting Lovies have been recruiting lately, I'm honestly surprised that they weren't closer to landing him. Momence is well within the Illini's traditional recruiting thumb-print.

We were supposedly full at DB last year pretty early ... and yet we still ended up landing Craddieth and Merriweather pretty late. Heck, Phil even brought on Riley Moss late too ... as a grey-shirt.

I had been getting the sense that Bargy was uninterested in Iowa several months prior to his commitment yesterday. I'll have to go back and look at when I posted that.

I don't suppose Azubuike would settle for walking on.

Yeah, when we contacted Bargy in mid April to see if he'd be at Iowa's spring game, he told us he had mostly narrowed it down to Minnesota and Iowa State.

A good football player is a good football player and I'm not trying to discount that by any means but I look at a kid likes this

Or this

And I wonder what Doyle can really do with that build. I mean no slight to these guys they obviously have invested alot of time in the weight room but the whole idea with Doyle is he is the best at building the body.

I see a kid like this

Who isnt as physically ready to play but seems more athletic and I get excited.

VanSummeren was a pretty impressive athlete for him size - reminded me a lot of both AJ Ends and Jake Duzey ... definitely good company.

Fulton is from Cardinal Mooney - a football factory. Definitely no harm in landing a kid of his caliber. No kid out of high school is a finished product ... there's still plenty of work that Doyle can do with guys who are like that.

However, I won't lie - I too am very excited about Jestin - long and lean like Kirksey. Versatility at a key spot like LEO is of critical importance. Kid looks like a great fit!

A good football player is a good football player and we need as many of them as we can get so please dont take me wrong. I just remember guys that were "men" at 18,and were the biggest fastest etc etc, in high school but that's about all they had and then guys who kept developing at 19 and 20. I think the latter are what KF and crew really succeed with. I know I'm not going out on a super limb here but I bet BVS gets to Mich and doesnt get heard from again. I know this isnt an awesome NFL life but I think he would have came to Iowa and made a full back, they showed a willingess to pass to Kluver, that few teams would have known how to deal with.

Calling it right now. "We" get:

Brock
Goodson
Stephen's
Bell
Young
Britt

I think the struggle will be LB and QB. (I think we miss on Kiser, eichenburg, fulton(msu), and Heinrich but with last years class and Jacob's we should be alright for a "miss" at ILB. Qb is scary, they have now offered 10 guys and have 1 that is a solid maybe. Imo if they dont get one of the first 10 they offered, cut bait, and get a solid qb for 2020.

Beau Robbins out of Carmel Ind. Would be a stud pick up at DE.

Yes it is a holiday weekend and I am in full on Kool aid mode. No I have not been drinking. :)

His loss haha
IU's head coach is more of a defensive oriented guy ... might not be quite as bad of fit as you'd suppose. However, that said, I still don't see him doing any better than Wilson. IU has been in a holding pattern, at best, since Hoepp passed.
