No stories, but it's certainly an exciting development. Your body kills/disposes of rogue cells every day (including cancer/pre-cancer cells) so figuring out how to use that to our advantage in attacking malignant cells is huge.
PD-1 agents that enhance the patients' immune system to destroy the cancer is almost assuredly the most talked about anti-cancer therapy at this time. There are data suggesting that not only will the responses to therapy be more durable than previously seen in certain cancers, but that the side effect profile of the new medications are favorable compared to current therapy.
These agents are expensive, but so are all new cancer therapies.
