Any word on a running back coach hire?

Need a guy that can connect with players #1. Nobody is ever happy with the # of carries in any RB room. Betts did a great job of smoothing things over with guys who were frustrated.. Wait your turn, keep working, etc.

Albert young would be a previous player with some time in NFL and coaching.(not saying it has to be a previous player but he has ties to the program) I always thought he was a likable guy…

He wasn’t a RB. I believe the general consensus on this board is, that eliminates you from consideration for a position coach.

You’re supposed to pick someone who was a good RB, specifically at Iowa. Nothing else matters.
Jon Bud wasn't a receiver.

Manson would be great. He would be a great recruiter. RB is the easiest position to coach. Just keep the room full of talent like Betts did.

Half the staff wasn’t the position they currently coach.

Here is how good head coaches operate. They hire other good coaches to coach. They don’t give a sh1t how good they were as players.

Reese Morgan was great at coaching every position he coached. I have no idea what he played himself, but I know he didn’t play every position he coached at Iowa.
