Any word on Boettger?

If we get these guys back before we lose, we won't lose. I know that sounds weird, but I think we could lose this game to indiana (probably media and fan conditioning me think that way). If they come back for minny haha and nebraska at the latest, I dont suspect we will lose to OSU/MSU, and barring any more serious injuries to starters I can see us making the ncg if we dont play Clemson first round.

Will we win the NCG by more than 2 TD's?

From what I have seen this year they would be better off having Croston as the starting LT once Boettger gets back to RT. Myers just gets beat to much in pass protection. That DE from Maryland was owning him.

It wouldn't be rust from the bye and recovering from injury, would it?

Myers has struggled in pass pro a lot this year. I don't think that's an unfair assessment. He can be tough as hell in the run game at times, but just some inconsistency there. I thought Croston played well when he was at left tackle but the strength of this oline is the interior with Blythe Walsh and Welsh/Daniels. I would argue in favor of Daniels over Welsh and say that I liked Welsh at tackle. The good thing is we have some good moving parts and good depth. But we gotta get back to consistency in the run game. That's what will make us almost unbeatable over these last 4 games.

All the OL have struggled in pass protection. Blythe and Walsh have given up sacks and been beaten by blitz. Bonehead bis issues but other reasons for poor results in second half as well

Except that he was struggling with pass protection before that as well. forget Munoz he wasn't performing like Croston.

Croston got owned by Wisconsin. Myers faced an equally tough challenge against Maryland's Ngakoue.

The coaches like BOTH guys. Croston likely owns some advantages because he's been in the system for 2 years longer than Myers. On the flip side, Myers must show some serious potential and must be grading out well in practice ... because he EARNED his spot back. He doesn't get the LT starting gig back just because he was injured. He got it back because he must have been practicing really well.

Also, before anybody quotes Iowa's rushing stats against Northwestern ... just remember that Iowa called a much more "base" running game against Maryland. All the same, Iowa's running game was pretty solid in the first half. In the second half, the OL had execution issues ... but it was also running on a stacked box. If the coaches felt like we needed to "dig deeper" into the playbook ... we probably would have and the stats would have been more gaudy. However, I'm sure that the Iowa coaches DON'T WANT the opposition to have more tape on the other things we can do in the running game. Also, it was a great challenge for our OL ... to see if they could be successful with our base blocking against a quality front 7. Say what you will ... but Maryland had a high-quality DL.

Croston didn't get owned by Wisconsin. Go back and watch the game. There was only one play he got beat on in pass pro. I think Myers has a high ceiling and he is doing great in the running game but Croston has looked better in pass pro.

Iowa got a lead vs Maryland and didn't try the edges much with their rushing attack...following...

KF must like the interior run linemen...G, C, G...to have a dinged up QB sneak for first downs on short and 3rd or 4th down...I see that as a sign of confidence, not fear...and it is a good omen for the o-line's ability...

An o-line that excels in burrowing for run yardage is much better to have when the coach tends to create a lead (even a field goal) play the games close, taking risk off the table in the process, and grind it out...that is, unless the other team strikes for quick points...the Achilles's Heel of KF football...

Indiana should be interesting...if Iowa gets the lead, they can roll over their defense and play for turnovers on the defensive side of the ball... Getting ahead, even a bit...will be the key...my two cents...
