Balloons were released?Looked like about 80% full on btn. Raiola looks good.
Compared to what?Looked like about 80% full on btn. Raiola looks good.
I think they release balloons when they score or something? The what?
Longval looked decent.Nope, but I’ll tell you that no matter what happened, you’ll be getting the following: On this side of the state, it’s like clockwork from friends, family, and coworkers. Nebraska is coming, and everyone better be ready. The peak of the offseason natty is about to hit. All summer, from Omaha radio and clowns around Western Iowa, we will hear about 10+ wins and blackshirts being handed out and how everyone outside of OSU is very beatable on the schedule. Plenty of that is already on Twitter today.
Thought I had heard they had stopped that balloon tradition, reportedly for environmental reasons. However, we all know it’s because it was embarrassing having to wait so long for a Nebby score to release them! 😉I think they release balloons when they score or something?
Who’s Longval?Longval looked decent.
I think Rutgers had cornerback Max Melton a few picks behind Cooper. No draftees for Nebbie, NW, Indiana, Minnesota, Rutgers or Michigan St
You're right. Minnesota and Michigan ST also had guys taken.I think Rutgers had cornerback Max Melton a few picks behind Cooper.
You are correct.....they tried to hide behind some world-wide helium shortage story to make themselves look like the good guys for stopping it.Thought I had heard they had stopped that balloon tradition, reportedly for environmental reasons. Yes, at least not negative right?Did they really have 0 draft picks?
Oh yeah he was. He was the dude Deac threw to when they played at Kinnick last fall. We were driving and down at the 10 or 15 and Deac throws a crappy ball toward Brown I believe it was and Melton picked it. Drive over.I think Rutgers had cornerback Max Melton a few picks behind Cooper.
lol. wut?You are correct.....they tried to hide behind some world-wide helium shortage story to make themselves look like the good guys for stopping it.
What was actually happening is that the flow in and around the concession stands and the bathrooms at half-time became way too jammed up with everyone trying to get their runza's and operate their zippers with a big red balloon under their arm.
They were just going to expand the concourse to accommodate this since they didn't see it stopping anytime soon, but then the helium story became available and they just ran with it.
That's quite the yarn. You are correct.....they tried to hide behind some world-wide helium shortage story to make themselves look like the good guys for stopping it.

Huge helium find in northern Minnesota just within last few months I believe I saw that story. Somewheres around the iron range area up der.lol. wut?
The balloons were for kids. I assure you, kids carrying balloons causing congestion in the concourse was not an issue. The medical issue IS an embarrassing one for the University - we were using a resource that's becoming quite precious and instead just wasting it on balloons that end up as trash in fields. The actual story is good enough to give UNL shit over it - no need to make things up.
Unless that post was tongue in cheek in which case, ignore me.
But, hey. It must be noted that 75% of those losses were within one score.I believe Debbie has gone 4-8 in their last 12 spring games.
Probably a trophy for that. But, hey. It must be noted that 75% of those losses were within one score.
So they’ve got that going for them
Which is kinda nice.
I was just trying to have a little fun.lol. wut?

Except when we had DH and BF, we still didn't look good on offense during the spring...Spring Games are nothing but a marketing campaign. Everyone “looks good” when the defense isn’t allowed to hit the quarterback.
Sorry my sarcasm meter is broken these days. Its hard to tell when a lot of folks are becoming genuinely unhinged.I was just trying to have a little fun.
Who in the hell did they beat???I believe Debbie has gone 4-8 in their last 12 spring games.
The volleyball team?Who in the hell did they beat???
round or flat?Nope. I preferred to spend that time digging dandelions out of the lawn with tooth picks.
The same reason Iowa would have been an attractive option were they not already in the conference. A consistently top 15-20 most watched team on TV.The volleyball team?
Someone, anyone, tell me why bringing Nebraska into the B1G was a good idea?
Hot fvcking garbage.
