Nope, but I’ll tell you that no matter what happened, you’ll be getting the following: On this side of the state, it’s like clockwork from friends, family, and coworkers. Nebraska is coming, and everyone better be ready. The peak of the offseason natty is about to hit. All summer, from Omaha radio and clowns around Western Iowa, we will hear about 10+ wins and blackshirts being handed out and how everyone outside of OSU is very beatable on the schedule. Plenty of that is already on Twitter today.

Longval looked decent.

Spring Games are nothing but a marketing campaign. Everyone “looks good” when the defense isn’t allowed to hit the quarterback.

Yeah, hadn't been sleeping very well due to having a chest cold. I'll tell you what, not even the hacking cough could hold off the sleep after putting that game on. Also heard doctors have been telling those with IBS to stop digesting anything Corn related. So it's a gain with a loss. Take your pick.

Thought I had heard they had stopped that balloon tradition, reportedly for environmental reasons. However, we all know it’s because it was embarrassing having to wait so long for a Nebby score to release them! 😉
You are correct.....they tried to hide behind some world-wide helium shortage story to make themselves look like the good guys for stopping it.

What was actually happening is that the flow in and around the concession stands and the bathrooms at half-time became way too jammed up with everyone trying to get their runza's and operate their zippers with a big red balloon under their arm.

They were just going to expand the concourse to accommodate this since they didn't see it stopping anytime soon, but then the helium story became available and they just ran with it.

lol. wut?

The balloons were for kids. I assure you, kids carrying balloons causing congestion in the concourse was not an issue. The medical issue IS an embarrassing one for the University - we were using a resource that's becoming quite precious and instead just wasting it on balloons that end up as trash in fields. The actual story is good enough to give UNL shit over it - no need to make things up.

Unless that post was tongue in cheek in which case, ignore me.

That's quite the yarn.

The volleyball team?

Someone, anyone, tell me why bringing Nebraska into the B1G was a good idea?

Hot fvcking garbage.
The same reason Iowa would have been an attractive option were they not already in the conference. A consistently top 15-20 most watched team on TV.
