Anyone notice what Purdue is doing to Rutgers?

It's hard to believe a B10 team can be this bad. Rutgers isn't even mid-major level, KenPom has them at 275, we're talking low major territory. They have a win expectancy of <10% in eight of their remaining conference games, that's crazy.
Why are they so bad? Serious question, I know nothing about Rutgers basketball, other than being installed as a doormat in the conference last year.
I realize purdue is taking it to them, but the Hawks still have to come ready to play on Thursday! Rutgers played OSU tough in the first half and then just fell apart. So they have the talent to play with anyone, but sustaining it is another issue.
This is a game Iowa has to come out and get up BIG and then let the bench play the last 15min.

A center, a forward/center and 2 more forwards all hurt. 2 or 3 of them are done for the season. Believe it's their best 4 at those positions, too.
According to the RU board, it's a blackout game on Thursday. Lol they're doing their best Iowa marketing department impression!
Purdue has more boards 44 than Rutgers has points 43 w/ @ 10 min left in game.

OSU is horrible this year tho although I share your sentiment. Hope the Hawks come ready to play and continue their hot streak. But yes, its the B1G, so you have to show up every night.
Lol they don't have the talent to play with anyone. You used a game they lost by 26 as proof they can play with anyone. They're historically bad and Eddie Jordan should be fired.
Well they were winning right before half. They were only down 2-3pts at half @ OSU. I realize they are terrible, but if Iowa over looks them, Rutgers could sneak up and be competitive. I realize Nebbie, OSU, Purdue, and others have down right killed Rutgers. But once again if you don't show up, it could be a ballgame Thursday night.

If it were a boxing match, they would have thrown in the towel after about 10 minutes. If Iowa wins by less than 30, there should be an investigation. 
Rutgers is horrible. Iowa will win just by showing up. Iowa will work on 3 point shooting and easy dunks. 150 points isn't unthinkable.

Yeah, we'll know that their marketing people and our marketing people went through the same program if there are gold pom poms in the stands Thursday.
If Rutgers improves their facilities which their new AD has talked about Rutgers has pretty good potential IMO. Their new football hire Chris Ash from Ohio State looks a very good hire and wants to build a first-class program there. As the BTN $ start flowing that athletic program may look in much better shape than it does now and cleaning house with the AD seemed like a necessary start. Very good recruiting territory for a decent basketball coach.
At the beginning of tonight's game they said Rutgers was down to 6 scholarship players because of injuries, and that the players they did have were playing out of position in a number of places. So take a team that is already bad, gut it, and you have this...
Calling Rutgers "bad" at this point is an insult to teams that suck.
Purdue got 57 points from their bench - therefore, they out scored the 50 scored by the starters.
