I don't need the ins and outs of the Sagarin pole, somebody wanted the know what the computer said and I simply answered the question.

SeaBass, only Sagarin's wife needs that.

An Iowa win vs. Wisconsin to go 5-0 and Iowa is top 20. Is this a top 20 team? They are fun to watch and a good story so far but I think their current rank isn't far off. I'd say Iowa is probably around the 30th best team in the nation this season.

Fortunately, though, if Iowa plays their cards right, they can use this as a springboard season to get back on track to build towards more success for future teams.

2016 is going to have a lot of question marks at different positions given the players we lose from this year (WR/DL), but any confidence gained from a successful season this year SHOULD serve to help the transition some for next year (a year where the conference schedule ramps back up).

Definitely WOB. Typo = hitting wrong key. No one hits the "e" instead of the "l".

Indeed I can laugh at my mistake, no issue with your initial response that was also funny. I appreciate a witty response and you correctly guessed it was a "hilarious typo". My response was to mthawkeyes who implied that it could not have been a typo.

I'll try to play arbitrator on the WOB subject. First of all, SeaBass, this was not a typo - there is no way you accidentally typed "p-o-l-e" when you fully intended to type "p-o-l-l." We all know that. However, even though the wrong spelling of the word resulted in a humorous sentence, I don't think it qualifies as a WOB, per se. I think you have to reserve that for words/phrases that are typed when the author clearly has misunderstood its proper use/spelling (Pre-Madonna, deep-seeded, peak my interest, all intensive purposes, etc). I guess I'd put this in the unique category of a typed faux pas.

I completely agree. I think this could be a season to gain momentum, build some depth, and find some young guys that can make plays. I like the trajectory KF has this squad on after a subpar finish to last season. I really think he is gearing up for another special run.

I can see how you could mean poll but type pole. I do stuff like that occasionally. But shame on him for not proofreading before sending. Doh!
