Apple TV shows

I really liked Defending Jacob. We watched the first season of Ted Lasso and could never get into it. I don't get the hype.

Not Apple, but new series on Hulu- Paradise- reminds me a bit of Silo? In the sense they’re both underground at least

The Steve Martin Documentary is good. Two parts. First covers mostly childhood through stand up.

What does everyone think of season 2 so far? The whole goat room is freaking bizarre. Dylan finding out his outy is sort of a loser was pretty funny. As with the first season, I’m expecting a slow build.

Are pretty much all great. I watch lots of shows on other streaming services, but Apple is killing it. Does it have the best series?
I say yes.
Agree or disagree?
I’ve enjoyed every series I’ve watched, in no particular order.
Silo
Shrinking
Slow Horses
Ted Lasso
Mythic Quest
Severance
Foundation
For All Mankind
Dark Matter
Bad Monkey
Loot
Lessons in Chemistry
Sunny
Invasion
Monarch Legacy of Monsters
The Reluctant Traveler
Omnivore

See should definitely be on there as well. It’s got a pretty ridiculous premise but it’s sci-fi/fantasy and most of those do have ridiculous premises. If you can get past the world building conceit that after the future nuclear holocaust Drumpf will cause that the majority of people genetically lost their eyesight then the rest of it is fantastic. Great acting. Great fight scenes. And some really interesting plots.

I agree, See is really good

I’m enjoying it and I agree that it’ll be slow build. Helly lying about her outy is a good plot twist, it’ll be interesting to see how that develops.

Any math nerds on here? I started Prime Target tonight. It was decent but really slow, I nodded off towards the end of episode 2, probably had more to do with my habits than the show. It revolves around a brilliant mathematician who is working on prime numbers and knows too much for his own good.

It’s been great

The goat scene was kind of a low point for me, but everything else has been great so far.

I started rewatching the episodes with my wife; she only has last week's episode to catch up.

Speaking of the goat scene, made me think of Adam Scott in Step Brothers.

So I just watched the first episode of Slow Horses, and I'm going to spoil it a little, but I have to ask before I continue watching the series.

I've heard that the show isn't at all woke, but right out of the gate, it completely slants the issue Britain is facing with its immigrant population, portraying every conservative viewpoint as extremist bigoted hatred, to the point that a white supremacist organization is going to behead a Pakistani British citizen. Is this what I should expect for the rest of the series, or at least the rest of the season, that white people are bad, and that conservative white people are outright evil? It was all treated so matter-of-factly, like, of course their viewpoint is racist and not even worthy of consideration.

That is not at all what I got from the show. It was enjoyable.
