April snowfall

For today, southern Iowa.
"Southern Iowa is expecting significant snow through the nighttime hours. There will be travel issues, especially south of HW 34, where heavier amounts are likely. Widespread snow should start falling across the southern two tier of counties around noon, where a Winter Storm Warning is in place.

Bursts of moderate to heavy snow are likely, as thundersnow is possible. Models are somewhat divergent on the exact track of the system, so any movement could push snowfall amounts up or down, given the tight accumulation gradient. Snow totals will tail off towards the I-80 corridor, with a tight snowfall gradient north. I’ve attached National Weather Service guidance, which summarizes the available model information. Please stay safe and keep up-to-date via local media and the NWS."

The cold never even bothered me that much while I lived in the Midwest, but looking back I can’t understand why anyone would willingly subject themselves to Midwest winters. It sucks and there’s no point.

Dry air keeping snow out of the Des Moines area for now. Please, please keep it that way!

Meh...chances are in most of Iowa it will all be gone by Sunday evening at the very latest.

Do you even Hurricane, bro?

I think y’all are tough. One, you live in Iowa. The single most pointless state after Mississippi. Two, I’m looking at the backyard with green grass and 70’s. You enjoy your white stuff. We will enjoy our white stuff with hookers.

Have you even heard of Nebraska? Or North Dakota for that matter. At least South Dakota has the Black Hills

In other news, I’ve got 6 or 7 inches on my deck and it’s still snowing. At least it’s not really sticking to the roads or sidewalks

This is @Tenacious E's fault. He whined about hearing the chickadees with the window open in the morning and now we have a bunch of snow again.

Hour north of ya and nothing. The line was around Missouri Valley thank the lord.

ND sucks in the winter or use to anyway. SD to along I90. Weird seeing all those huge snow blocks and fences.
