I'd be shocked if they ever came back in Iowa. That said last Christmas I got it and was in bed with a fever for 10 straight days. Most miserable experience in my life.

Just curious, vax'd or unvax'd? I never got anything but the first two pokes back in Apr/May 2020. Got the Vid in Jun 2022 and after the first day of thinking I had strep breezed through it. Only had a fever the first day and a half. ...not sure if it's my DNA or the vaccine. My mom, who's had a few boosters, still has Parosmia resulting from her bout over a year ago. It really does affect people differently.

Vax'd. I got it twice just over a year apart. First time it was like a bad cold with a real low fever for 4 or 5 days. Second time it kicked my ass. Both times I got it a few days after vacations. Mexico the first time and Dominican Republic the 2nd. First time wife and I got it and both had the same symptoms. 2nd time my buddies wife that we want on vacation with also got it and she was very sick for a week also. Strange.
They're trying but enough people will refuse to comply to get it to stick this time.

You say things like this because you are an idiot. I don't want mask mandates back because that means there are a lot of people getting sick and spreading it around. I commend anyone who decides to wear one for their own protection or, as I'm guessing in Biden's case, to protect others. If my wife had Covid and I was out in public I would certainly have the decency to wear a mask.

We all remember your emotionally unhinged post the day the mask mandate was dropped in school. You felt so bad for the kids that elected to continue to wear them that you were contemplating wearing one in a show of support.
That's not exactly true. Fauci and others said in the very beginning that if you didn't have an N95 mask then it would do no good. They changed their tone and their story for political rather than scientific reasons.

5 people out at work right now with it. Sounds like this new variant is pretty contagious. None are in the hospital just down pretty good for a day or two.

I thoroughly enjoy reading all the fear porn lately about masks and mask mandates. Some folks on the left talk about how people should wear masks again, blah blah whatever. Folks on the right talk about the fear of "mask mandates" coming back blah blah. Shit gets old.
With that said, if I knowingly come in contact with someone that has covid, I have no problem wearing a mask in a public setting because I'm not a whiny bitch. But I'm certainly not going to start wearing a mask again while running daily errands.
