Do you think whether sex changes occur in prisons is a significant issue in this country?
ISWYDT. LOL.Do you think whether sex changes occur in prisons is a significant issue in this country?
i get that, though what a bizarre paradox to provide that form of mental health treatment to a person we're locking in a box for a term of years. This SCOTUS confirmed it is a mental health issue, and it's approved as a treatment by every major US medical association. Hate it or not, the health of the people we incarcerate is our responsibility.
I agree. Not a significant issue, but taxpayers shouldn't be funding stuff like this....
This SCOTUS confirmed it is a mental health issue, and it's approved as a treatment by every major US medical association. Hate it or not, the health of the people we incarcerate is our responsibility.
This here is what keeps me up at night I tell ya. Forget about the economy, jobs, climate, health care, etc... it's the trans we have to keep our focus on.If they change genders, do they change prisons?
For example, would a male switch to a female prison?
But you are super concerned about abortion.......This here is what keeps me up at night I tell ya. Forget about the economy, jobs, climate, health care, etc... it's the trans we have to keep our focus on.
The problem is medical/psychiatric profession screws up diagnosis and treatment. This SCOTUS confirmed it is a mental health issue, and it's approved as a treatment by every major US medical association. Hate it or not, the health of the people we incarcerate is our responsibility.
Is it a national issue though? Seems state level.Significant?
The answer is clearly NO.
With that being said, taxpayers shouldn't be paying a dime for any of the related expense.
I'd also be concerned with the wellbeing of a trans inmate.
I would have to guess their safety with other inmates would be in jeopardy.
Well you've stumbled upon the 24x7 Trans Outrage channel otherwise known as HBOT. What did you expect? This here is what keeps me up at night I tell ya. Forget about the economy, jobs, climate, health care, etc... it's the trans we have to keep our focus on.
I can endorse this. No, though honestly, I don't think it ought to be part of the basic package of health care benefits available to prisoners. Obviously, when the G takes responsibility for custody of a person, they have a duty to keep them healthy. But, unlike Walgreens, a prison is not the corner of healthy and happy.
it also raises some interesting ethical questions. Suppose for the sake of argument everybody's squared away with the diagnosis, but the prisoner's term is relatively short and their access to post-procedure services is likely to be limited. The problem is medical/psychiatric profession screws up diagnosis and treatment.
I'd love to see the actual life history of some of the inmates that actually get this.
Probably because you don’t have a uterus.Abortion is also an insignificant issue for me
Probably because you don’t have a uterus.
Because Republican leaders tell their base that it is and they believe it...and win elections because base is dumb AF.No.
Why would an issue affecting 0.0002% of the population be a significant issue?
At least you're honest. **** 'em. Right? That is a pretty significant part of my reasoning,.. Yes.
The base doesn’t win any party an election.Because Republican leaders tell their base that it is and they believe it...and win elections because base is dumb AF.
At least you're honest. **** 'em. Right?
You said in response to not having a uterus that:Not necessarily,.. However the question was posed as "significant to me",... Which it is not.
This SCOTUS also ruled on abortion. This SCOTUS confirmed it is a mental health issue, and it's approved as a treatment by every major US medical association. Hate it or not, the health of the people we incarcerate is our responsibility.
Just put a bullet in their head.......Do you think whether sex changes occur in prisons is a significant issue in this country?
As long as they are not tax payer funded…I don’t care.Do you think whether sex changes occur in prisons is a significant issue in this country?
Apples and oranges - I would rather see tax $ go to current / former presidents rather than trans prisoners.I agree.
Nor should they have footed the bill for Melania to live away from the White House or Trump’s golf habit.
I could care less until i’m helping pay for it.Do you think whether sex changes occur in prisons is a significant issue in this country?
I'd say that alone, isn't significant. What is significant though is the thought process behind. If tax dollars are going to be used for that then what other things will tax dollars be used for?Do you think whether sex changes occur in prisons is a significant issue in this country?
Why not start with yourself?Just put a bullet in their head.......
For such a low percentage of the population who are trans, why does the left always bring it up?No.
Why would an issue affecting 0.0002% of the population be a significant issue?
I think so…which is ridiculous & dangerous. If they change genders, do they change prisons?
For example, would a male switch to a female prison?
