I remember that. I thought I was seeing things. If that ball really did go through the uprights. I think it should’ve counted.

When the ball hits a member of the kicking team or the ground it is dead. So you also can’t drill the kick off the back of a lineman’s head who directs it through the uprights. I would pay to see that though.

A blocked field goal (as well as a missed field goal) is a live ball, so, yes it can be returned. If it stays behind the line of scrimmage after it is blocked, the offense can pick it up and advance it.
