Swapped from Xfinity Cable to ATT Fiber about a week ago. The Fiber coming into the house was already here, and buried- but it comes into house in the very back bedroom (kids room). If my house was a rectangle, it would be at the very SE corner of the house; whereas the cable line dropped dead in the center of the house.

Coverage on the other end of the house is 1/3 wifi bars. Clearly unacceptable for streaming Pron on the toilet.
1) can I hire an electrician or someone to run the fiber up the wall into the attic and drop it somewhere else?
2) Anyone have any experience with ATT's mesh extender things? I have tried Xfinity/s version years ago and they sucked.

we have a mesh wifi system and it works great

our fiber comes in through our bedroom in the far corner of the house.

zero issues getting full bars everyone and the garage/backyard

we use THIS

I'm gonna be honest....I am already intimidated by the link. If its not plug and play, I'm sort of an idiot with this stuff.

It is

You just plug in the main wifi hub to the router, set up the network name and password and you are done. There is a guest network option too.

You can then plug the other two hubs anywhere you want. The phone app tells you every device that is on the network and the wifi strength that each of the two extended branches.
