At the end of the day, most of the country lives paycheck to paycheck.

And they care way more about the price of Cheerios than they do about a “national abortion ban” or “the end of democracy”. Those things aren’t tangible to them. They also are not too fond of being forced to pay off the loans of future doctors and lawyers.

This was always the obvious truth.
I am going to count my blessings. Most people I know don't live paycheck to paycheck so I'm feeling lucky.

At the end of the day, Joe Biden should have announced he would not seek a second term so Democrats could have nominated a more electable candidate, which sadly means, one that was not a black female. Her race and sex had far more to do with outcome than the price of cheerios.

Doubling down on identity politics isn't a winning strategy. The results of this election should have shown you that this tactic isn't working on the American public.

She was the first one out when she ran for president what's that got to do with her race and gender? She was a bad candidate don't try and put words in people's mouths.

I also think Trump's a terrible candidate does that make me racist and sexist against white males as well?

That was a copy paste but you can agree of course.

The entertainment on here is just awesome these days. Keep it up everyone, I learn so much every day on here. A lot of people in America live pay check to pay check. A lot of people over spend and don't save the way they should. This is earth shattering news! Keep up the great work of educating this great nation through HBOT!

Dems trying to rationalize why she lost and going straight to the racism and misogyny card is exactly what I expected.

She was not a great candidate during the primaries and more dems voted in 2020 for Biden than Harris in 2024. All them dems must be racist

Trump has much to deliver in a short period of time. The problems of the country become his in January.
  • convince companies to lower prices on consumer goods/services
  • reduce gas prices (granted they don't have far to go now)
  • close the border that's been "open" since the 80s
  • Negotiate peace with Russia/Ukraine and Israel/middle east
Every day past day one where the cost of Cheetos stays high, gas prices are more than $2/gallon, wars/conflict exist, and illegal immigrants are coming through will not be a good look.

Plus we all know he has his revenge tour planned so that will take up some of his focus. At 78 I'm sure he has the energy for all of this.

Are you wanting me to disagree with any of this? He sold them what they wanted to hear. Harris tried to convince them she was one of them because people in their neighborhoods cared about their lawns. What an insane thing to say, looking back.

Ds made a mistake by not having Biden announce after the 2022 midterms that he was not going to run. They needed a younger candidate with a fresh agenda. Rs might not want to admit it, but the economy was in decline for about a year before COVID and Trump didn't handle that well causing the economic issues leading to inflation. Biden admin did a good job achieving a soft landing which I honestly didn't think was possible, but in doing so held inflation too high for too long for the average American. Biden was in office so he takes the blame. Harris blew it when asked what she would do differently and she said she couldn't think of anything. So, though the admin successfully achieved a soft landing and kept the economy in good shape the common man only saw years of their life being expensive... Harris not giving a new direction on this front the people decided to go with the other guy no matter how flawed. Trump will walk into a good economic environment. We will all find out in 24 months if he maintains or damages that. The next two election cycles will be watching. In the meantime, the world keeps turning and the Ds need to find a younger, dynamic candidate that not only focuses on policy and liberal issues, but who can speak to and relate to the regular American who feels forgotten about.
