7. Iowa State

Like Oregon State, Iowa State should have left its old uniforms alone. But instead, the Cyclones updated their look in 2008 and ended up with cheap USC knockoffs and that lame “I State” logo. As if that isn’t bad enough, the ketchup and mustard color scheme on the jersey and pants makes the Cyclones’ home uniforms look inspired by Ronald McDonald.

8. Iowa State
In one of the worst rebrandings in recent memory, Iowa State ditched its Cy the Cardinal helmet in 2008 for a block “I” lid with “STATE” across it. Not only is the new logo fugly, Iowa State’s entire look feels like a cheap imitation of USC. While a cartoon half-bird, half-cyclone logo might not be the most intimidating; it was unique to Iowa State and had a certain charm to it.

I agree they should have stuck with the cyclone bird thing. I don't mind the I-State logo either though. The jerseys, ya those can change.

It's lazy to say they're knocking off USC. It's not like they changed their school's colors in 2008. Their mistake was choosing "I-State" instead of the block "ISU" option on a white helmet, which every Clone fan I've ever asked said they supported. No one liked I-State. Some admin overrode the public poll and did it anyway.

But these rankings are just some dude's opinion anyway. Typically, the big boys have "classic" uniforms while the doormats have "knock-offs."

Im actually a big fan of the old cyclone logo from the 80s and early 90s with the yellow helmet. I think that is their best look.

I STATE could be any number of schools equally lousy, although Illinois St could give the clowns a run for their money. isu would probably beat the other two (Idaho St and Indiana St).

Can they do a dishonorable mention section and put the blackout jerseys on it? Great idea, but the execution sucked. The numbers were about size 7000 bold font and stretched from Council Bluffs to Davenport. The ISU jerseys could go even higher on the list. The ketchup and mustard look is brutal.
