Attendance at Women Basketball Regional Sites

This is why I want to vomit when I hear bitching about women not getting this or that in sports. Not many people care to watch, so why do they think they deserve anything? Sames goes with guys in boring sports nobody cares to watch.....

You start paying the men you are going to have to cut both men's and women's sports to afford it.

as long as you leave football and basketball, then I'm 100% down!

I'd say leave baseball, but hell I don't even know how to watch games!! I see games on sec network but never see crap on b1g network!

Men’s didn’t look much better. There were open seats at a lot of the games. I know eventually they filled in, but the Zags/FSU looked like no one was interested at the start.

if you look at the mens games yesterday and the womens today, you'll see a "bit" of a difference

One problem is football has 85 scholarships and you of course have to have enough female sports (field hockey, soccer, etc) to match it; so as long as you have football, you are going to have several female sports that very few will ever attend in their lifetime

and that is exactly what is wrong with this country!!

Was thinking the same thing. How full was Wintrust Arena in Chicago yesterday? Assuuming it was less than the captacity of newly renovated Welsh Ryan, they should have played there. Or Iowa’s game could have been in a packed Valvano court at NCSt (where the men played NIT) - obviously, couldn’t have Wolfpack in that region tho

11,000 seat Wintrust in Chicago doesn’t look very full, and it has ND. Hawk fans may have packed that place Saturday and tonight.

Did Wolfpack women host first round at PNC, and then Men played all three NIT games at the smaller arena? Wonder how much money that cost NC St

Host it in Iowa City. That wouldn't happen here. Pathetic showing by the NC State faithful.

I thought the same thing... especially when the game is in their home state!
